Question for Rangers: Second (equip) Slot...what is valid?

ahhh. that makes great sense. so i can just stand back. unequip. my bow. and equip a bonus to energy....use my elementist skills...then re-equip...

I have scrolls, artifacts, etc. nothing seems to be a valid item to equip in that slot. I'm a ranger/elementist. what items can we equip in...
