Gold Vampiric Bow

I bought a gold vampiric bow (full damage) for 2k yesterady and have some questions as i've never had anything vampiric before.

a) is 2k a good price.
b) I'm not sure i like vampiric.. it saps all my energy. Why would anyone use them at all?

1. Depends on the skin (look) of the bow, not to mention the type. Also, what is the life steal rate on the bow? 5? 1?

2. Vampiric drains your health, not your energy. It causes extra points of damage which is what makes it so desireable.

so it ends up draining loads of my health.. is there a technique for using themm..? do i not carry it.. but get it out in battle or something?

use mending to get rid of the energy regen.. =O

i'm not sure whether or not it does add damage (i've heard both arguments), but if you plan on using it in pve, i'd say it is best used with skills like barrge <e> that would heal you considerably.
also get a non-vamp bow to use when you arent fighting...

When you're hit by a vampiric weapon, you'll see "Life Stealing" and the amount of damage it deals. Similar to when you're hit by someone enchanted by Order of the Vampire.

The trick to them is having two bows; one that is vampiric and one that isn't. Often players make the mistake and only carry around one bow. Just change your weapon sets (you can assign the number you want, up to 4 in the inventory) so that one has the vampiric weapon and the other doesn't. The default for changing weapon sets is the F1-F4 buttons in case you didn't know.
