Basicly, what is the point of ascending?

is there a point? what can you do after?

oh and i cant find a map of the desert region anywhere :P anyone knows where to fidn one

i think the only point is that your roleplaying toon can then enter the world pvp tournaments, and i'm not sure but i think you get access to the final 2 quests for 15 attribute points each, and you may even recieve some when you ascend.

you could count your attribute points to be sure if you want...post ascension = 170 then you do the 2 quests for the final 30 for a total of 200.

**edit** nope the final 2 attribute quests are available pre-ascension...i just did one

It's also part of the story, and allows you to continue on with the game.
