Infused Armor Question

I know getting my armor infused is supposed to help me with fire islands, but what about past areas in the game? Will I have an easier time fighting past monsters? I have ascended and all that good stuff, and am going back in the desert to farm a few items, sadly i still need atleast 3 hench with me to make it, will infusing my armor help me out at all here? Im in no rush to get to fire islands at this point, so should I bother getting infused if im not going yet?

Imbued armor helps only with the skill "spectral agony," which is used by a lot of the enemies as you get further into the Southern Shiverpeaks and into the Fire Islands. I won't name the type of enemy, as it might be a spoiler, but no, imbued armor does not help you with any other types of enemies. It's only used as a counter for "spectral agony."

But you shouldn't even think about leaving that mission with 5 of your armor pieces infused, it changes you from 1hit kill to usefull teammate later. ~~

where do you start that quest btw.

Its not a quest, its the bonus part of the Mission in Iron Mines of Moladune. Just join a party for an infusion run and they'll show you what to do.
