Rare Skins

Does anyone know if there is a list with pics of all types of rare weapon skins out there? like ive seen posts about a rare skin earth staff but i dont know what it looks like.. so if anyone knows thanks a lot.

As far as i know a post with a list of rare skins and pic alltogether doesn't exist.
You migh wanna check http://www.tel.eohjay.net/ for a pic of all the items in GW but you probably have already taken a look at that. In the Price Check forum there's also a thread with a list of the most looked after weapons at http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...d.php?t=70448; cross-check and you have all you need.

those drop a lot in the desert i had a max req 8 drop for me but with crappy mods on it

Armstrong, earth staffs spawn alot everywhere. But do they indeed spawn with that skin? Do they really look like that all of them? I think not.

Well I do see them drop alot with that skin, in pre searing; desert; jungle;shiverpeaks, its like the feathered long bow.

I've seen a number of those as well.

Oh well, I don't exactly go looking for them. Never find them either.

The scary thing is, that although I think that's the best item I've ever seen, I probably don't equip half the staves I find...

I've seen loads of staves like that in presearing (well, seeing), but i doubt they're worth that much (3-5 earth damage and a +3 energy bonus... )

Not as such, no. But in the Price Check forum there is a price list for rare-skinned weapons that you can cross check with GuildWiki to see the skins you're interested in.

Well the problem is that I would have no idea if I found one of these said 'rare skins'. I'm not so much worried about hte value, at the moment, I just don't want to dump a rare skin because I salvaged it for the 5k mod on it.

Ok, so go check out the thread I referred you to and it will tell you the names of the skins that are considered rare. Then you will have some idea if you come across one.

Who exactly is Nef? I know his/her name is Nefastaru but why is he so special?

I don't mean this to sound like "Why is he more specail than me it isn't fair", but I occasionaly see him/her being mentioned. If anyone can shed some light on this I'd be thankful

Okay, not only is the skin different but the name is as well? I'm thinking I might be confused.

And as for the wiki, I'd be HAPPY if there were a link that had some indepth information about the rare skins, I have yet to find ANY. I've seen the ocasional reference to a skin being rare, but I have yet to see "THIS is a rare skin" type of statement. I have not looked at EVERY page but it isn't a standard thing for every weapon.

Heh, it really blows my mind that of all the things to have be researched in depth that this hasn't been done yet....
