Ran/Ele Build - Your thoughts

Has onyone else ever done a renger elementalist build.

What are peoples thoughts on using them both together.


I'm thinking that a ranger - with a tough pet, that has close proximity magic to fight off any mele attacks may be good.

im myself a R/Ele this is my universal build for PVE


WHIRLING DEFENSE ==> Avoiding damage
SAVAGE SHOT ==> Interrupt (i hate those Mark of Protection Boss)
DISRUPTING SHOT ==> Same
POINT BLANK SHOT ==> Offensive Skill
Another Offensive Skill (Power shot,Dual Shot,Hunter Shot,Penetrating attack)
Another Offensive Skill (Power shot,Dual Shot,Hunter Shot,Penetrating attack)
TROLL UNGENT ==> Self heal Skill
REZ SIG ==>

I've only been playing gw for a week. Am at lvl 10 with a Ran/Ele.

Power Shot
Dual Shot
Point Blank Shot
Call of the wild
Lava
Firestorm
Charm
Res

Even though there are a few posts against pets... I lke the fact that they rush in and take up the attention of emenies. I'm using 2 fire spells and hiking up the skill levels on fire magic. My thinking here was with Lava and Firestorm they both make enemies run away from the fire so i ues em when they got too close.

Also firestorm is good at casting at a group from a distance, then fly in with the Power shot / Dual shot alternating each time. Using the point blank if getting close.

There aren;t very many Ran/Ele around...? I've been wandering why..

Been playing post-searing for a couple of days and am at lvl 9 R/El. My favorite stack is lightening reflexes, ignite arrows and dual shot.

I like to use the combination of Barrage+wield flame (or any other)

besides that I carry an interupt like savage (sometimes Concussion too), and that's my real build.

The rest I use to fill things up for the area and its foes. (for example Throw Dirt in UW, to blind those Aatxes.)

kindle + conjure
disrupting + dual shot+ savage or punishing shot = mucho damage
whirling or lightning reflexes to avoid damage
troll + res sig

I am running a Health Degen R/E build for PvP... Can deal good dmg(40dmg + bow dmg + the degen)
It can easily give -10 health degen without a big energy problem.´

I'm not going to tell the build, but it is quite easy to come up with. Fiery bow string is a must!
