Yes, it's possible. And it's brought up a lot of times. That's just the way the random item generator in the game works.

Salvage that pig! Either mod will net you some pretty decent coin. Of course if you let me salvage it all I'll get out of it is a pile of lousy wood!

(Happened several times when trying to salvage anything good.)

I've seen a few of those rare weapons with cross class mods in it. I aggree with Jade, just salvage it.

why do people keep bringing these up? am i the only one who realizes that the prot prayers mod is a staff wrapping that can be easily replaced? the mod itself is out of place, but if you put in another staff wrapping, you can bring the staff down to 2 professions.

the weird staves are the ones with 2 inherent mods that are both for different professions and different from the req. those cannot be replaced, and those staves are the truly weird ones.

Isn't the only thing that is effected by the req the damage? If so, that pic is probably of a Mo/Me with prot and inspiration who likes the skin... I'd kick that dude for that exact staff... I really would

that dude is a Mo/W, becuase i can still farm very well is some places. Anyways should i auction it?....or keep it?....salvage it?.....or Replace the mod?

nice staff, if u salvage it u can energy +5 mod [maybe 15-20k] or the prot suffix wich i dont know the price of, or u will jus get common . [hate wen this happens].
