nerfed minerchest

Was doing a Fiveman Footprint,Furnace farmingparty second time in furnace.. never really liked the whole "green hysteria" and during our little adventure we managed to kill most of the bosses, when inside the furnace after about an hour or so 2 people left and the remaining three of us.. (2 W/Rs and a Healer) decided to continue as far as we could.. well we got quite far even managed to kick some Guardianhiney and found our first chest...
lured mob after mob against us one at the time til noone was left... killed a couple of bosses including razorstone and woohoo finally got to the chest
*excited* used key... swooosh.. PURPLE... what the...continued even further into the mines... found another chest.. right beside 8 summits including priests and darkbinder.. ooh well.. after about 6 respawns we managed to finish the last one off.. opened the chest.. PURPLE...... yey....
also found one later on after getting mauled a couple of times by dredge.. guess what purple... 3 hours without a single green item (just enslavement stones) and 3 purple magicitems .. happiness... why nerf the minerschest they if any are kind of hard to get to? or where we extremely unlucky?

Just unlucky. From data gathering, it seems there is a 33% chance to get a gold drop from miner's chests.

I got 2 golds in a row from Shiverpeak Chests..I guess its just luck.

Actually, yesterday while me and "Livefire" were in Deldrimor warcamp and chestrunning.. We got 3 golden drops in a row ;D

yeah, that asshat got an ivorybow and 2 golden armors... me myself got acouple of jeweled chakrams.,.. the randomgod is smiling at me

I used to buy keys but now I dont bother anymore because of my bad luck with chests. If I get lucky to get a key drop then I use them. It's all a game of risk.
