i did this ranger build in ca and we kept winning casue of it ,every i entered it owned all monks even though it has no interupt

ranger/whatever

atributes
13 expertise(+3)
12 wilderness(+1)
14 marksmenship (1+3)

skills
1.quickshot (elite)
2.kindle arrows
3.serphants quickness
4.troll ungent
5.throw dirt
6.winnowing
7.favourible winds
8.res sig

zealous short bow of fortitude(and a flatbow version for when they get running)

ok all u do is set ur spirits set ur kindle and spam away untill all is dead

quick shot will recharge in 0.66 secs and when u get in 60-80 dmg everytime
this build is totaly spammable since the expertise and the zealous string leaves it costing no energy all monks i used it agaisn't just couldn't keep up with it ...even while they casted healing toach i did the same amount of dmg during their casting time and anyone who's trys to res just die's from the speed of this build IT'S SOO AWSOME
and to imagine 4 of me at once LOL THAT WOULD BE MAD

this pwnds interupt!!

There is a reason rangers interupt, to make the job of killing everything easier, you usually leave eles to kill..

winnowing does absolutely nothing in this build because kindle makes all your damage fire damage, and winnowing only triggers on physical damage.

Kindle arrows adds fire damage to the attack, it doesn't make the whole attack fire, so winnowing will still be effective.
I agree with carnivore on the tigers fury>serpents... switch it out.

I agree with carnivore on the tigers fury>serpents... switch it out. no it converts it to fire damage
FW works like winnowing, needs phyiscal damage, and it doesnt stack with winnowing

thought there was a bug where the extra damage was fire damage but the base damage was still physical?

Favorable Winds:

Quote: Create a level 1-8 Spirit. For creatures within its range, arrows move twice as fast as normal and strike for +6 damage. This Spirit dies after 30-126 seconds. It has no requirement of physical damage. It just needs arrows. Therefore, Favorable Winds DOES add damage to arrow attacks even under kindle arrows.

Winnowing:

Quote:
Create a level 1-8 Spirit. For creatures within its range, creatures take an additional 4 damage whenever they take physical damage. This Spirit dies after 30-126 seconds. Winnowing needs physical damage. Therefore, Winnowing does not add damage to a shot fired while under kindle arrows, since kindle not only adds fire damage, but turns your bow's damage into fire as well.

Now that that is straight, back to the build. As far as i know, SQ has no effect whatsoever on QS since GW will round the .66s cooldown back up to 1s. TF is a much better stance. You should fire normal/qs/normal/qs indefinately, subbing in stuff like dual shot in for normal shots every time they recharge. Having at least one interupt for res sigs helps.

The base damage is physical but the additional damage is fire.

If you attack someone... above their head will be 2 "damages"
One is fire, one is base...

Get rid of winnowing alltogether, it aids warriors in their attack, only help yourself.

Quote: thought there was a bug where the extra damage was fire damage but the base damage was still physical? There are TWO fire preparations and I'm sure you all know, you're just stupid and confused about which is which.

Kindle Arrows: Converts all damage to Fire damage,
Ignite Arrows: Leaves Physical damage on arrow, adds AoE fire damage.

So to OP: Kindle cancels your winnowing, if you must use it, trade in Ignite instead of Kindle.

Listen to Neo-LD ^^^^^ He speaketh the truth.

this is like a sad attempt at recreating the machine gun build before they put a limit on recharge times. the closest you could get is if you arcane mimicrie'd echo or something.

Old Description

Kindle Arrows - Wilderness Survival
Energy: 5 cast time: 2 recharge time: 12

Preparation. For 24 seconds, your arrows deal an additional 3..20fire damage.

New Description

Kindle Arrows - Wilderness Survival
Energy: 5 cast time: 2 recharge time: 12

Preparation. For 24 seconds, your arrows deal fire damage and hit for an additional 3..20fire damage.

So in essence Winnowing does not work...

Ignite works cause its physical damage first causing fire damage when it explodes on contact.
