Login/ Connection issues

I just bougt this pre-order copy from target for .99 cents today . I wasn't aware the game was already released. So, when I attempt to create my first character I just get the Connecting dialog. It just sits there doing nothing.


Is this pre-order copy crap? Do I need to get the full copy? target didn't have the Full Version just this. What can I do to craete my role-playing character?

I cannot connect to the game server. What is going on?
I select a character to create and it just sits doing nothing.

I bought this pre-order copy yesterday. I could not see the full version anywhere. So I assume it has not been released in the US yet, so why can't I create a character or connect?

Pre-Order is just that Pre-Order. Guarantees your copy and that's all.... supposedly... I saw that at Target as well. This is the first time I've seen Target do a pre-order thing. You still have to buy the game though. The game has been released. You can find it, most likely, at EBGames or Gamestop and if you do not have either of those around you, maybe Best Buy or possibly Circuit City, but EBGames or Gamestop would be your best bet at the moment.

Some preorder copies allowed you to get in to the game early for beta weekend events etc, but those are all over now. So you need to either

A. Obtain a full copy
B. Go to www.guildwars.com and buy a CD key to play.
