Better PvP options

This game needs to have a more indepth PvP system. 4v4 is just restricted, why is their not a 1v1, or a 2v2, or anything higher than 4 for that matter? It just makes no sense! People want to be able to 1v1!! They want to be able to do 8v8 matches without needing to GvG and risk losing a few ranks on the ladder! People actually want to be able to choose the way they PvP, not be forced with pre-set settings.

I have yet to see any real suggestions as to what could improve the PvP system. First of all, what is really wrong with it? Don't answer with a subjective "I'm mad because I lost" or "It sucks because it's no fun."

Why does it suck? Why is it no fun? And what would you do if you were A.Net?

Yes, but they must be arranged. (You must recieve a challange)

I'm not saying it sucks. I'm merely saying that it should have a wider range of options.

ANet said in a interview they have looked into doing a 1v1 arena. I think 6v6 arena might be kinda cool too, but Anet wants to keep the number of arenas down so that there are always people avalble to fight. Personally I don't need anything more than the compition arenas and gvg.

i don't see how a 1v1 arena could ever be a good thing

Id love to see a large menu that you can enter from your guildhall.

It would show a large varity of maps and play types and anyone thats starting a challange.

Something like:

Hunters Map | 6vs6 | Great Warriors/Rate: 989

Icy Map | 4vs4 | Clan Whatever/Rate: 2000


If you have enough people you can except the challange.
The other clan has to varify that they except your exceptance and your off on a match.

Yeah, 1on1 isnt a really good idea even though people seem to think it is.
For intreguild matchs it would be ok, as a means to dual and test builds, but its not really a good idea for competitive play.

If the game is balancable at 2vs2 that would be cool. If not then at a minimun 4vs4 would be needed to make sure matches arent just players that come to selfsustain themselves.

Styill Im routing for more PvP teams options. Even two 8 groups allied vs two opposte 8 groups.

I have read none of the past PvP posts, I am merely stating what I think.
