Poll: How big is your gw.dat file?

yes they are serious. You do realize that why they all posted those numbers Factions hadn't even been released, let alone any Nightfall content. The post just before yours is a year old. Sure your dat file is bigger since you have more stuff installed that wasn't even available back then.

Last week I un-installed GW and then reinstalled the cilent off the official site, I then ran the -image shortcut thing. My GW Dat file is 3.21 GB...

Think they said it should be around 2.7 GB, so I guess its fine, its probably just updated areas where ive previously visited.

yea i got pretty much the same. how the hell do you people have so little? I've been playign since the game came out, but not beta and the beta people have less than me.

4.2GB I used -image after each update. One of these days I'm gonna reinstall GW and see if that helps.

Is something wrong with mine...? Because it shows as 4,906,927 KB, which is a LOT bigger than you guys'. I did -image.

Small question. File shows 4,906,927 KB, 4.67 GB, and 5,024,693,248 Bytes. Which one is the correct one, what are the differences about them, and how come they are different? I'm not a computer genius...

But anyways, I have a bigger file...lol.

They're all the same, the factor between levels is 1024 not 1000, so 1KB = 1024 bytes, etc.

I'm a measly 2.3GB, I've been playing GW since first release, but I don't have Factions.

as I already stated, the first 35 posts are over a year old, before factions or nightfall were added to the dat file. I dont know why this old thread was brought up since we have this more up-to-date one:
