I've formated, and hardly been any where on gw since then.

1 054 323 KB, no reinstalls done to date

0.98 Gig. But a little while ago it said 1.1 gig...hmmm....interesting.

Question, what does that .dat file represent?
I thought it contained all the gaming files such as video and music, but I guess I'm wrong since everybody's one is different.

It does, but some people dont go to updated areas, or used the downloadable 70k client like I did.

You get the base dat file during the install. Then when you first enter a new area/town, it then dynamically loads the code into the dat. Therefore the size will depend on how many places you have visited.

The second number is my second account which i have installed in a different folder. It is my least played account but it is my main storage account, which is why it's larger.

not sure why it's low as I do both PvP and PvE...

I don't PvP so don't have any of the updated PvP maps.
I also have never been to SF or GF so don't have any of the files from those area's either.
