Best Overall

Just curious what the Best Computer would be overall. Meaning Not thousands of dollars for but maybe a grand max.

Probably a custom built one that either you build or a friend who really knows what he is doing. I built my system for just over $800.00. Of course that was just the initial build and didn't include the price of some of the custom case mods I did. You should check out newegg.com and price building a system yourself, if you don't have any expierence in this, I am sure you have a friend or family member who does and can give you a hand.

No i can build it no problems there its just been a year since ive even thought of Computers. So i figured id ask about best procesor i still believe in AMD since i dont think the l3 cash on the Pentinums are worth a shit.

i agree with making your own computer, and make sure you balance your parts out. ahve you processor, GFX card, and RAM etc on the same level, as having one bad can ring the rest down. example: lots of RAM and a great CPU, but an integrated GFX card will cause the CPU to run not up to spec, and will ahe bad performance all around

My suggestion for the best bang for the buck as far as processor and graphix go would be an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ or higher paired with a PCI Express 6600GT and at least 1gig of ram. That is what I am currently running and it plays GW smooth as silk @ 1280x1024 and max details.
