Unided armors: highest drop place?

Best drop place?

I need to get superior warrior runes , I have no superior ones unlocked. I have only one mesmer and ranger superior unlocked too. Scary part is I have every superior monk rune...

So where is the best palce to get nonmonk runes (superior)? I need to get superior absorbtion since I cannot afford to waste 100plat on something that gives -1 damage.

Don't you think that if it was so easy to find superior absorption, it wouldn't cost 100p in the first place? There is no magical place where it will drop for 100%, forget about it.

If you want to unlock runes in particular, just bugger around in the arenas for a while and do it with faction. And by the way, superior absorbtion is -3 damage.

Superior absorbtion minus major absorbtion is -1 damage taken...

Um, I'm pretty sure the -1 LifeInfusion is referring to is the -1 more absorption you get than a Major Absorption. Sheesh.

The problem with unided gold armors is that:
1. There's a good chance it'll be a major rune.
2. Even if it's a superior, there are 6 different professions plus Vigor.
3. If it's a Warrior superior, there are still 6 different runes it could be.
So really, you're better off just unlocking it through faction if you want it.

Bugger. Some people think I am ignorant. Sup = -3 damage but major (which I have gotten through IDing) is -2 so that means -1 more :/

Yes, Savio, the problem with Gold armors I get is they are usually major, which pisses me off to no end.

On the unlocking end of warrior runes, I want to get superior absorbtion without having to pay the hefty fee, and the only way is through gold armors. I have the rune UNLOCKED, I don't have in physical form.

Why does everyone have to point out the ambiguity in my original post and not offer suggestions that are industrious?

The Twin Lakes region north of Riverside Province used to be a popular choice. The birdmen there drop armors with fair regularity. However, this place also is overrun with bots... or at least it used to be. As a consquence, ANet may have altered the drop tables in that area.

What Aracos said, Twin Serpent Tengu were where it was at. Much like any other decent place to get Armor drops, it got trashed. There is no one stop farming place for Runes anymore. Nothing that you can quickly and consistently hit up, at any rate.

I really hate to say it, but Faction has become considerably better for unlocking runes than farming.

Oh, you said you had no Warrior runes unlocked, and Absorption is a Warrior rune, albeit it's never listed along with the rest of the Warrior runes because it has no related attribute. Faction's just better for unlocking, and you're pretty much on your own getting Superior Absorption, especially with the frenzy of people buying it recently. I got mine cheaply a couple of months ago when someone sold it for 60 plat.

You should try Sorrow's Furnace. I've had friends that claim they found a few rare armors there.

What they did was diversify the classes of tengu in the parties, making it much harder to farm.

I picked up 3 superior vigors and 2 superior absorption from bird men at twin serpent lakes.

I found several rare armors (incl. 1 with sup absorption) in Grenths Footprint from Shiverpeak chests.

Oh I don't plan on farming, I plan on FIGHTING (with henches)

Unfortunately, ANet thinks that fighting with Henchies should lower your drop rate to 3 common drops per run, with a Gold every 25 runs.

The only way to FIND good drops is to solo. Soloing has been nerfed. Finding good drops isn't an option anymore with ANet. Sad, really, that they feel they should regulate PvE so much.

I say that fighting with henchies is the same as fighting with real players.

But anyways, I wouldn't spend so much time getting them looking for them. I just play the game as it is. It just feels way too long to try and find them...

Why don't you try going around south shiverpeaks?

I picked up a sup. absorbtion during thunderhead keep mission, was a nice bonus considering we failed it that time.. and over the weekend, a few more gold armors fell during the last three missions of the game.
