This possible in Ascalon Arena? [I got screenshots]

Besides that, they're running Ranger spike build in ascalon..theres nothing much one can do.

And they've been there winning for like last hour as far as i can tell...is it possible the person lvled while in arena/battle?

and nvm the skills, i was testing something out for soloing and they're not that *bad*

Yes, he leveled while he was in the arena, without losing. He won't be able to enter again when he loses.

A person can level during a match, but then they're promptly booted.

No you do NOT get booted as soon as you level. As long as you continue winning, you continue playing. It happened to me. My W/Mo leveled to 11 while I was in there and won 2 more matches after that. After I lost I was not able to enter again.

Yep, happened last night, four of us on lvl 10, we won 30 matchs (one guy had no res sig on our team -_-) and all reached lvl 11, then we died on the 31 match.

My reference to booting was intended to imply defeat. I've never bothered with Ascalon Arena, but I assumed most teams wouldn't win so many consecutive rounds. o.O

I know there have been far greater consecutive wins in Ascalon Arena than mine... I did it last week with 38. As stated above, I too was a level 10 coming close to my leveling mark of 11. I filled my experience bar from 50% at lvl 10 to about 29% at lvl 11 before we finally came to a crashing and dismal doom. So it can be done and teams can hold the arena indefinitely... until another team happens to have a build that just finds a way to out do them.

That streak went from about 2:30am til 5am. So I wasn't happy to see it end but my body was ready to call it quits.

Yes, the person will not be able to enter the arena again at level 11, but will continue to stay there till the first loss.

My best streak was 31: we had 3 warrior/monks with forge armor, and 1 lvl8 elementalist w/ ascalon armor. we lost to a 2 ranger team with poison. (carelessness on our part too T_T )

that is exactly why low level arenas are so ridiculous. You should be very proud of your 31 win streak.

Just like the other guy said. With 3 W/Mos kitted out with Droks armour, you ought to be ashamed. The fact that you lost to a 2 ranger team who had poison (The first skills using poison are only available much later in the game) pretty much sums up the state of the Ascalon Arenas, and why it's not much fun for new players hoping to try a bit of PvP for the first time.

Lame.

Mine was 28 consequtive wins with 18 flawless in the L.A competition arenas.

We had a 4 Elementalist build.
None of us quit when we saw each other's proffession, we tried it out...
...and owned the place.

E/Ne Me! Earth elementalist specializing in wards/rituals and pay-back!
E/Mo The healer with fire (usually sticks around me)
E/R Pet happy Air elementalist
E/R Interupting Fire elementalist

I would Ward against melee-mark of pain, while the 2x E/R would blast the hell out of everyone an E/Mo would help keep em alive staying in my wards.
