the build i have been using recently for farming griffons:
11 heal (9+2)
13 smite (12+1)
8 prot (7+1)
8 divine favor (6+1+1)
the skills i use are:
Physical Resistance
Shielding hands
Balthazars Aura
Balthazars Spirit
Healing Breeze
Symbol of Wrath
Mending
Mark of Protection
i have 460hp.
put spirit and mending on first.
the way i use this build is to pick up 3 groups of minos/griffs (can do 4 but is risky).
when you stop to fight you quickly hit resistance then hands then breeze then Aura then symbol.
when you see hands nearing its end you hit Mark.
as soon as aura is recharged hit it again then quickly hit breeze (as the mark will be ending now).
the surrounding enemies should be die as hands is recharged.
note: always have resistance on. always
this build is very touchy. if any of the spells get interupted then you will likely die.
the mark needs to be timed carefully as you may die either before you cast it or before balth recharges at the end of marks duration.
this build is by no means as effective as the 8hp build or the 55hp build but it doesn't require any superior runes.
it took a lot of tweaking to get it right. it now works as best i think it can. you need to be on the ball when you use this or you may die when the griffons that hang back during the melee decide to join (when you kill the rest).
feedback is appreciated.
Mo/Me 'cheapo' Griffon farming build

well the thing is this:
i have made around 35k this weekend using this build, on and off. i would have only just made up for the price of superior runes by now.
the runes on my armor are simply my healer runes. this build can be used by any Mo/Me. no special equipment. one elite that is fairly easy to get.
i use a +10% enchantment length staff. this may be the difference between life and death. one extra second on balths, breeze, hands and mark probably keeps me alive.
tis a tough build to use (i don't notice it, i've never used a 55 build or 8 build or any of those types), i had been using it outside of icetooth for weeks (very easy area). i then decided to attempt the minos in Elona Reach. another week there. then the griffons were easy. just practice is suppose...

can't see blessed aura working. i would have to remove one of the spells. all are integral. balths and symbol are needed to kill them before you die, the healy enchs keep you alive. full stop.
twould be nice but no space in the bar. nothing can be dropped for it.

ummm...
not to be rude or anything but you have posted one messload of short posts. do you know how to edit/delete your posts? i'm fairly sure there is a forum rule about not spammin like that...
anyone else with any thoughts on this build? (i'm beginning to think my title is scaring people off...)

I like it. Obviously, the monks skills that you use are a probably what a lot of people use. I like the mes skill you put in there, can help a lot. You said something about getting distracted, you mean the devourer's? Run like hell. The reason why I bring mending is to keep me alive while I run away from the devourers while aggroing as many groups as I can.

hrm I'm thinking that -1 energy would be the death of the character maybe not thou your only taking on four groups so it might be feasible..
I think the build looks pretty sound, what the damage output does this Mo/Me do? Do you also have problems killing the Monk Griffon? I know when i use my W/E switched over to W/Mo to hunt griffons I can take on all the griffons at once only things that gimmie problems are the scorpions disruption my spells sometimes and the monk boss.

this build has no real problems with energy. the mending is indeed to allow me to run past the rockshots but once griffons are chasing me i have to stop fairly fast otherwise they do too much dmg.
i can take the warrior boss. not the monk boss.
this build kills all surrounding griffons when shielding hands recharged. basically on that second, or near enough.
