What's next on the horizon for GW?

We have our faction. We have our extra content, released as Grenth's Footprint and Sorrow's Furance. I'm still trying to tackle all the new content, so I'm definately not looking for more already. I just like to have something new on the horizon, like what is coming next. Do we have anything else in terms of major changes, in store for us in the near future? Or is the next big thing Chapter 2?

From what Gaile has said we can expect something at Halloween. Some kind of event I'm guessing.

I would imagine that there is going to be much more story added. With at least 2 more character spots, and Hopefully a new character class or 2.

Has anyone heard of the special Halloween monsters that will be running around that night?

As far as content goes... I don't think we can expect anything but skill tweaks until Chapter 2 comes out.

Other than that... I sure hope for more community events. PvPX was great. They need to do more things like that. Maybe "Tyrian holidays" or something like that.

Hm, I recall pumpkins everywhere from an earlier halloween.

Knowing ArenaNet, they will probably throw something our way before chapter two. They haven't said so, but they like treating us

I would like to see a few new skills for us to play with and some more new items.
It's great when keys and stuff drop from enemies, i'd like to see the occasional salvage kit drop too.

I would guess that clothing, guild hall extensions and observer mode will be seen before chapter 2 because Gaile and the frog have talked about them...unlike chapter 2 itself.

My biggest hope is PvE arena with wave after wave (unlimited) of monsters which get progressively harder.
My second biggest wish is a home in my chosen location with a nice built in storage system.

I would expect one more big update at least before Chapter 2... since we have quite a few months for it... we probably won't get big areas like Sorrow's Furnace(honestly it doesn't bother me, devote all resources to making chapter 2!)

I would expect one or more more somewhat major updates in the near future.

chapter 2.

I don't see it as a continually updated game at all either... more like battlefield or something where they release 2 new free maps and a major update every 6 months to a year, and of course expansions

Chapter 2 looks interesting. It would be cool if they took the story across the ocean into Cantha or something

but I did ask the frog when to expect observations mode, and he said it was gonna be before the expansion

If they nerf the lag I will be happier than a pig in shit.

Really it's the only thing in guild wars that puts me off lately. Abhorrent amounts of lag on my good computer. It's not natural

Im looking forward to skill rebalance. Observer mode is on the way and some kind of a tournament has been promised.

i like the way we can do quests in SF , i hope what comes next is the same kind
i mean , walking arround , geting lost , the feeling of a huge space
danger depending on quests you take ...

something a friend of mine talked about , and i have never seen anyone talking about , at first sounded ridiculus , but now , i think it would be cool also.
transportations , horse ! something we could use to go places faster ... of course we would be weeker while using it . but a lot faster.

it woulnd help much in the game , just for the fun of it ... PVE only
