Howdy all,
I really hate when stuff like this happens, so since these people like to act this way I shall try my best to inform people of thier actions, so they have no one else to play with and burn, but themselves.
The following people:
**** Have been edited out by me, Magister, in wishes with the boards rules, if you wish to have these peoples names, feel free to contact me personally and I'll give them to you. Also as suggested a report with Anet was filed ****
All belong to the same guild. They were groupped with a good friend and guildmate of mine today, a very nice monk who is probably one of the best monks in the game by anyones standards, was helping them farm in sorrows.
Well, she hit abit of misfortune and happened to die (I was actually shocked to hear she died!), anyways, on the ground, was not one, but TWO green items in her name.
Her party thought it would be a good idea if they left her there to rot as they waited for the items to become available and thus pinch the items on her, then they rez'd her, tried to lie about it (screenshots were taken!), and wanted her to continue on like nothing had happened!.
Nevertheless, people like this are a scourge in online gamming as far as I am concerned. We play online to play with people that share a similiar intrest, in what should be, a fun past-time. Things like this only serve to ruin that experience.
If anyone should know these people, and the guild they are in, I would apperciate a PM with the guild leaders name so I might have a chat with them concerning thier members conduct.
Magister.

Alright, I shall edit the names ... I do have screenshots to prove it, (or rather my friend does). I mean people like this should be brought out into the light, anti-naming policies only serves to protect people like this.
I would be MORE than happy to send any of them a tell in the game posting the link to this, so they might come in and prattle on about how they "did nothing wrong", despite the screen shot evidence.
But really, I didnt mean this to be a giant flame thread, simply a way to inform the general public that people like this are out there and should be avoided.

I thought it was bad when my team got deliberately zoned when a green dropped for me but this just makes me so mad.
I feel sad for this monk since monks have a rough ride on the best of days.
One philosophy that i live by and which i have 100% faith in is "what goes around, comes around".
ArenaNet, if you do read what the OP has said here, you would be wise to take some form of action against this cancer which is rife in your game.
Auto loot collection upon death and a two day suspension for these foul excuses for humans would be an appropriate course of action.
Scum...absolute scum.

Some people are idiots, I have had that happen to me but was before greens, Had a gold max Runic hammer drop and no one would res me until they could pick it up.
I have had black dye drop for me that I did not see, and one player fall back said he was afk for bathroom break when is was just waiting to pick up the dye, then had the nerve to brag about it and type ROFL haha crap to me. I have even had people sit down on my drops trying to hide them so they could pick them up. I have had people try to pawn off mursat tokens for ecto, try to offer gold when should be plat, start teams in TOA collect money from everyone then leave.
With no real admin on the servers people can get away with pretty much anything so you have to protect your own butt when you can.
Electric_Jester,
You might not be able to post names but I bet the admin here would not be opposed to some incriminating screen shots that just happen to show the players names.

Ick, glad I have never come across people like that.
Why Guild Wars even has a time limit on dropped items is beyond me. Imo if an item drops for one person, it should remain that way until that member leaves the party. Also, when zoning into a new area, any coloured drops should be put into a collection window similar to the end of missions.

But you are right that items should never ever time out.

You know, every time I read about people waiting to rez so they get the items...
I start to, OK THATS IT SOMEONE IS GOING TO DIE!
*Grabs a security guard's fire arm*
*Gets dragged out of the room*
+Yelling in the distance+ "Hey! you are that guy that stole a shield!" "GRAB HIM!" "I'm going to get you for that!" BAM! "He missed, get him" BONK(Baton in the back of the head)
*Security gaurds come back in the room*
"You know, why didnt we arrest the guy that stole something?"
"If it was against the law to steal, we wouldnt have made the 5 minute rule."
"Heh true"
*Wasp slips back in the room with a gun*
"Hey that was my gun!"
Wasp: "5 minute rule, its up for grabs now"
(In summary - I stopped going with pick up groups, Its either henchmen, guild, freinds, or friend's guild)
