If you are into capturing elite skills, you certainly know that some are more ... whatcha call it ... difficult to get. This can be due to the boss hiding or the boss being surrounded by a wall of strong enemies.

Personally, I think that the skill Feast of Corruption is the one most difficult to get. I took a friend up there today - there being Dreadnought's Drift, and if you have never heard of that place the reason is that it is in the middle of nowhere - it literally takes forever due to the location of the closest outpost and the number of enemies on your way. So we travelled for an hour or two, and I got to laugh like crazy because the guy didn't show up.

(We figured out a way to tickle him awake though )

Anyway, feel free to share your capturing experiences for the amusement of all ...

pay a runner or have someone in your guild run you there from rankor or beacons. simple. rankor would be easier, but it's not a big deal. you could be in dreadnought's in like 7 minutes or less probably.

You know the boss is a giant worm, right? It's underground until you get close to it.

It was probably there, you just didn't get close enough to where it spawns.

Shield of judgement seemed to be a nasty one to cap in my experience but the most difficult one for me was shield of deflection.
It's so annoying doing the ring of fire 12 times waiting for the spawn.

The boss actually did spawn during the runs with PUG's, twice infact but our team died.

Hahaha, a boss worm in dreadnaughts, rofl. Poor necro's

gotta be the two human coldstone bosses in perdition... they don't stay in one place and wander everywhere, and it's hard to catch them. =p also you end up clearing out the whole map and still being not sure if they spawned or not, since they could wander into an area YOU ALREADY CLEARED.

Absolutely. I have every elite in the game and the coldstones were far and away the worst. No question in my mind at all.

Feast of Corruption is not that hard if u know the place it will spawn. I went there from Warrior Camp with the help of the map from the internet. For me the hardest one so far is Well of power in mineral spring and Soul Leech in Abaddon's mouth.

I just happened upon feast of corruption. Was running from raknor to beacons with henchies to clear map and I just stumbled upon the worm. He was dead in a matter of secs however. Fortunatey I had a sigil armed and thought it would be silly to miss the opportunity so I used it and captured feast of corruption. Have all my necro elites bar one now and a fair few others for secondaries. I am finding the most difficult to be the necro elite in Abbadons mouth, mainly because its such a pain to that mission. I think the skills called soul leech or something like that.

With a small bit of really awful luck, the most worst eliteskill to get a grip on can be Shield of Deflection and Migraine. I've literally restarted those goddamn Ring of Fire Mission 47+28 (Shield of Deflection + Migraine) times. Yes, that is right, 47+28 times. And on top of that... the front spawn never worked for me so i had to clear the whole fricking annoying volcano with each try to get either SoD or Mig.
I've now got a trauma on Ring of Fire... i hate that mission like no other and i'm basically uncapable of even thinking to re-enter it at any given time for any given reason. I just can't.

Barrage! Argh... I get to where the wurm is supposed to appear in Abaddons mouth.... just isn't there.. no wurm, so I just go get one of the monk elites instead.... where the wurm should be was some stinkin' eidolon - i'm already infused k thx

So then I think right - why not get is off *insert spoiler*... yeah him - sadly, finding a PUG that understands "can we kill markis before the jade armors so i may use capture sig" is difficult... possibly due to the fact most people on european servers are actually european.. and don't speak english, so that attempt failed

So I think... right, I'll try Iron mines with henchies then - so I get to the bit with the two seige ballistas... jade ranger boss was there... OH crap! - Henchman don't get infused... spectral doom on all of the.... I escape.. repeat, they are on 60% DP, I'm on 0 - in the end I give up.... not forgetting that there are still 1 or 2 more mursaat type bosses after this.

I think I'll just attempt abaddons mouth again and hope for the damn wurm to show up

The last 2 jade armors only pop out after you kill Markis. You have plenty of time to use the cap sig before the rest of the party finishes the 2 jades, unless they can kill both in less than 2 seconds. In which case... um, /bow

we'll ive just about gotten most elites and i would have to say without a guild, fiest of corruption is hard to get.

basically yr team would consist of a runner, to save fighting through lonars pass, then fighting yr way through millions of summit, some giants, just to get to the tough to crack wurm who luckily always spawns in thes same place, and i tell u fiest of corruption hurts, someone here posted a screenshot of someone doing 555 dmg with 1 cast of FOC.

i couldnt be bothered with the above process, so i just spent 3k faction on it, and made a pvp character, toyed with it for a while, it has potential with other skills, still yet to be figured out.

i would love to see this become a spike build in tombs, where those mofos who group up in a ball, everyone spams FOC....can you say ouch.

Actually from my two-hour observations made before finally capturing obsidian flesh:
- It's relatively easy to see which of them spawned, requires killing ~2 groups of golems and avoiding next one. They seem to wait till you spot them, and THEN starting to wander.
- Not totally sure, but most noticably, they keep running away switching between groups that are left alive. That means going clockwise (they circulate anti-clockwise) wouldn't work. They do not stay sticked to group You attacked while they were in (so if you go chasing them and are with henchmen, GL&HF), but it seems possible that they suddenly join group you are currently fighting. Someone somewhere mentioned, that it's not You who find them - they find You. Same happened to me, but while I was fighting absolutely last group on their large route

The non-boss wyrms which are everywhere on a Droknar's run use Feast of Corruption as well. You just can't capture it from them; you'd need to hit up the boss one for that.

I just got feast and I have to say it was easier than some of the other elites. The only hard part would be finding a runner. I got a guild runner to run us from Rankor to Dreadnaughts and killed a few tundra giants on entrance.

There is a huge mob of death guarding the entrance to the valley and we got wiped once trying to lure them. However if you look at the map there it's a sort of O shape with the top of the O being blocked.

So you lure the mob of death to you, run like hell to the top of the blocked O then all die, you then res and the mob of death is stuck at the top of the O.

you then fight 4 stone summit mobs+azures that pop out in ambush and after that it's clear run up the hill to the wurm.

It's doable with henchies plus one runner.

feast of corruption, grenths balance and hundred blades, just because they are all far back in the game and hidden.

The Feast of Corruption boss is now (also?) in Spearhead Peak. He's on the east path from Copperhammer to Granite, south of the Ferocious Strike boss, pretty close to Copperhammer mines.

I don't know if he always spawns though, he did at least the last time I was there.
