Chests

Blah I opened like 8 chests till now and so far all I got is 2 golds, evrythin else was purple. Is there a pattern? the more u open em the less u get?

I think higher level areas chests hold better items. Darkstone chest in Ring of Fire, Shiverpeak chests in Grenth's Footprint (and not in other areas of Shiverpeaks) and the Miner's Chests inside Sorrow's Furnace give the best drops as far as I can tell.

For me, some trips will yield a long run of gold, others a long run of purple identified crap. Others it's a mixture.
They definitely come in streaks from my experience.

I do know one thing...i will not be buying any more keys once i am fully unlocked on the runes. Only 14 superiors to go

You were expecting everything to be gold?

Maybe, rare drops are rarer than uncommon drops?

one person i know got 2 superior monk runes in one run.
i have managed to get 2 purple wands (with no mods, none at all, zippo).
however my faith has been renewed as in one trip through grenths and SF i got 2 max vampiric weapons...

definately in streaks as Tactical says.

Not kidding. 8 purple staffs in a row (in the crystal desert).
