You don't need ecto. It's intended to be a gold sink. It allows you armor that's simply a status symbol. So now that people have more of an equal opportunity to get it, everything is fine.

I really hate that place monsters are to strong the drops are better in pre-seering, you are lucky to see anyone in a group of 8 get a single ecto, when some one does others start leaving because they no it will be the only one, most PUB groups fall apart after first quest if they can make it that far. 9 times out of 10 some one will take the first quest when they do make it that far and end the run because no mortal team could ever do that quest.
