just a warning about fissure keys... I tried them out to see if fissure has the same bad ass chest drop system as the new areas. well, it has it in theory, but the drops are extremely lousy... ala normal fissure. two people in my group got plain white items, a plain shadow shield and a plain chaos axe... so as it stands it's the biggest rip off going.

Didnt try those...so what? they drop rare/ppl stuff like other key chests? and the white stuff is Fissure only stuff (chaos axe/crystalline/shards..) or they also got boring crap like basic bows etc? ...

stick with the chests in the new areas imo. (unless a monster drops a free key)

in the fissure, with obsidian key, i found a gold max dmg hammer of defence.... not bad (even if i don't know how much is worth)

Well, in my group only 2 people had keys 1 guy got a rare chaos axe, 1 guy got a rare fellblade which he showed me after, damage +15% enchanted, hp+29 and a shocking hilt, so off experience id say these chest are pretty damn good

First chest I found, 3 people in the group opened. 3 gold items. Next one, 3 more gold items.

Not bad I'd say.

Its actually a bug, I have seen it happen randomly from time to time, be it to myself or allied players. So I am sorry but you had some really bad luck and ran into that bug twice. I have seen it occur on random occasions, once in SF, once is RoF, and once on a random shiverpeak chest.

My First Run into Fow after the update got me a Max Gold Chaos Axe (8 Axe Mastery) which I haven't identified yet since I'm thinking of selling it.
So yea it all comes to luck.

When the SF/GF update first came, i found the chest items to be amazing. Now they all seem to be purple necro wands or other useless things.

I did however unlock a superior air magic earlier but i am still tempted not to buy any more keys. I am losing way too much gold.

Thanks for the heads-up OP. I will bare that in mind about FoW, even though i never go there anymore, lol.

well I found 2 chests in ascalon flame temple corridor... which had a lot more charr then usual. Of course I didn't have a key with me so I bought 2 for 100g total... next time I pass through, I'm bringing them.
