Connecting to AreaNet

When I'm installing GW the installation freezes at about 3 quarters.

I don't think I have firewalls running. Is this a server issue?

I'm here searching for a similar issue. I get to the point of entering my email address and click "Create" then I'm told that it can't connect to the server and to check my internet connection.

Obviously it's working since I'm posting here.

I read elsewhere that a router needs no ports opened, but I can't help but wonder if this is my issue..

Still looking for a post on this probem.

I don't have a router though. This stupid installation has been on for like 3 hours now and the bar is at the same spot it was before.

I'm experiencing basically the same thing... unfortunately

im having the same problem, i can get farther into registration by inserting the cd that comes with, but when i have to connect again it freezes

GW server's keep going down today. I guess just keep waiting. Even if you did get it to install you can't play anyway.

Thank God I finally got it yesterday and after playing for like 8 straight houra I can say its awesome.

The screen is frozen at "Connecting to Arena Net . . ." Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

ok i had the same problem my brother fixed it tho. This is wut i did i went to download.com downloaded sygate personal firewall and turned my windows firewall off turned on sygate then it fixed so try that

Yes, it's probably windows firewall blocking the program from connecting.
