Ecto Price drops to 9k

OMG I ONLY GOT 2 ECTO LAST RUN...STOP NERFING THE SHIT OUT OF EVERYTHING ARENANET!

Where do you get this idea from? I think you are wrong..

The patch update notes said nothing about capped prices upwards or downwards. The game should not interpret ecto as any different from a vial of ink or any other rare material.. People just assumed there was a cap because prices change much slower now... I think it would be hard to see it go below 9k because of the demand.. not because of any code in the game..

Just because the 105 monk build is gone, dont mean i stop farming

Well, I did buy a few for 8.5k today at the trader.

I thought it was agreed that the solo monk didn't do anything for the prices, be it inflation or deflation or even mudflation. The prices are capped at a reasonable value so it doesn't really matter. Also not much of a difference in 9k and 8.5k.

Drop rate has been increased. Its nice, kind of a reward for those talented enough to still farm.

They have been increased, atleast when in groups. I have had several VERY rewarding FoW and UW trips with groups of 8, ectos and shards galore.

I have played in uw as a group and solo since pvp extreme. And I can verify that the drop rate has increased ONLY with groups. I did 5 solo runs (killing the bulls, and dying at grasps grrrr), and came up with only one ecto. But as a group, the drop was better.

For fow, the shard drop rate has been noticeably better post pvp extreme. I only go in groups, and I find that it's not usual to see a shard drop before reaching the tower.

So then I had ten very very good FoW runs, and five very good UW... I must be a very very lucky dude. Oddly prior to the PvPX I was getting little to no ecto/shards. I wonder...

Guild Wars need to have one item that can hold its value for those of us that have over 1 million gold and need to invest it something. I hate when ectos goes down. lol

Well I've done a few FoW runs recently too and got crap all. Same with the Underworld. Should I now start saying that they've nerfed the drops?

Dunno, maybe you over solo farmed UW. Remember there is still the decrease in drops for over farming :P Or maybe it is all luck... boy I am very lucky.

I do smite runs constantly.

Since the update I've been getting two a run, every run. Sometimes 3.

Pre-update you were lucky to see one per trip.

I get three a run standard.
