Why don't people accept my invitations?!

you'd have to elaborate more: i.e. Did you talk with the person at all to see what "they" were looking for? How much time they play? Tell them what you're guild is into and or looking for in a guildie?
There could be lots of reasons, similar to me not accepting unsolicited "join" requests when I'm in a town or outpost. If I'm not advertising that I am LFG, then I'm not gonna accept......really bad for my Monk build....it gets rather stupid having 10 invitations before I'm fully loaded and have my bearings!!

I will talk to people and ask them if they want to join when i advertise and then even talk to them when they do join and 6 mins later they leave, Im growing very tired of this and if everyone who did this actully stayed today id have 10 more members but becasue they did what they did im stuck with the same number.

if someone asks if i want to join their guild, i just say maybe, even though i dont wanna. truthfully, im lookin as of now =). but seriously, a lot of times i dont see anything that pleases me. they offer when they think im ownage, which means, usually (in pve) that they suck a whole lot compared to me. heh. thanks for the invite.
on the side note, im looking for a tombs group, unless SF has something new to invite.

Even if you get some you will never really know if they were "worth" the time , gold and effort you put in.
I always recruited over the forums by writing exactly what we need, how we play, what we expect and what the member can expect from us.

Other than that I'm also checking people I'm playing with and if a few good are among them, I say to the guildless ones (if they want to hear it only though, so better ask first if they are willing to hear!) what my guild is about while saying to others that if they ever would be unhappy and would like to leave their guilds (mostly if they say theirs are dead!), that they don't have to look far cause they will be very welcome in mine.
