No Black Dye Drop Yet...

160 hours of play.. no black dye drops! I have gotten 12 silver dye drops, 20 red/blue/yellow/orange dye drops. Don't know if im going to the wrong place but i keep getting different color dye drops instead of black!

First day playing, solo mission, 2 black dyes on the same mission from enemys 10ft apart.

Now I want to sell them- I'm in Post-searing and yeah... msg me online (Same name as on here)

250 hours, 2 black dyes, not a single silver.

also never gotten a single superior other then death magic.

Does black dye mix with others?

Will it turn other colors black, or just darker?

Darker. Didn't you ever learn art in primary school? 2 Black drops in 600 or so hours ( i can't remember) 3 superior rune drops:vigor, fire and smiting when the economy was screwed Ummm, about 7 silvers and too many oranges and other colours.

Eh...500+ hours here and never seen or received a black dye drop. Even played in half the beta events and still nothing... I didn't get my first rare until level 20 in the Crystal Desert...

According to GW /age function, I have played 500+ hours since May. At that time I have got like total 5 black dyes from loots.

Some seems to be very unlucky. Although I used to farm quite a lot.

i just got my first black dye drop last nite in the UW. ive played since day 3 and this is teh frist black dye drop for me ever. one of my guild mtes has had 6 in less time played.

Only 3 black dyes I've EVER stumbled across from drops, were all pre-searing, and all down in the wizard's folly by the elementalist in the mountains.

The /age function can be depressing! Over 1000 hours of play and I've had ONE black dye drop. I've had 4 ascended chars and 2 more working on it. About 10 silvers all told and toooo many orange. Completly random it seems.

i have had over 100 oranges ....sob....with only 800+ hours

but also about 18 blacks 40-50 silvers and about 250 assorted others

including 3 good double drops
black/silver
silver/silver
red/blue

and i hate orange and got 2 more today

I had my only black dye dropped at about 150hrs of gameplay. My primary character, a Ranger, has finished the game, been everywhere, found only one or two silver ones. My secondary character, an Ele, entered the Great Northern Wall mission, and got a Black Dye from the second Grawl he encountered ._.

But after that he hasn't even seen one drop as well.

I have gotten 10 black dyes since I started. Some in Pre-Sear...some in Post.

But none in over a month...

I got my first black dye in my second hour of playing, never again have I seen one.

Why are people ressing ancient threads all over the place?

Anyway, 5 black. One in pre-sear which I put on my beginner armor . Two when black was worth about 1500 gold, and I felt I'd made a killing when I sold them . Three afterwards, which I've used on my mesmer.

omg...l feel sorry for you...lol l got this game few days ago and got 2 black dye when l was in pre...lvl 6...lol its nice to start out it alot of money ^_^

What is black dye? Is it something you get from the hidden Gwen quest?

Ive been playing sense the BWE's and I have never even seen one drop for a party member.

I can buy one from the trader? I don't beleive the trader, he is a scammer and a eBayer. Black dye is a myth.

In 1500 hours of playing since June, and with 3 characters who've gone right through GW - 1 of which having done all the available missions/quests/bonuses/2nd prof quests except for THK bonus, Hell's bonus, Titan's Source and Final Assault which I've yet to do (and capped all skills/elites) I've only ever seen 3 black dye's drop - 1 in pre-searing first two days of playing, 1 off a charr around halloween when I was collecting for halloween items, and one last week from an ettin. In fact, the only decent drops I've had since starting in june are:

3x Black dyes
1x Superior Vigor
6 Ecto
11 Shards

Not a lot to show for 1500 hours playing time and I'm sure the game hates me

500+ hours since august across 4 characters, and NEVER have I gotten a black dye drop. i have a crapload of silver drops though. i've had more ectos drop than dyes, and thats minus farming. sigh. o well, ectos are worth more anyways
