Two questions:
First--what IS Althea's perfect gift? I've already given up the feather AND the pearl, and it still says I need to find something more "perfect" for her. I'm beginning to think it's a swift kick in the mouth. MY perfect gift to HER.
Second--The daughter, I've given her countless flowers, and even dropped 200g on a cape for her (plus I've found her broken flute), does any of this actually pay off? I mean, she already follows me everywhere, it's not like I had to offer her candy to get her to come into the woods with me. So what's the payoff?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, buddy! I did the pendant, but the flute, she doesn't ask for it. I went and spent the 4 gold for the new flute, but the doesn't say anything to me about it.
Wonder what's up with that! Maybe I'll try re-instancing. She's a greedy RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO!

Oh, and Gwen's mother is someone called Sarah, not Althea.

I've easily given her a dozen flowers! I've found her broken flute, I bought her that damn cape (that she twirls around in now), and I let her follow me around EVERYWHERE, still she won't ask for that new flute nor give me that tapestry shred (or whatever)--I hate her!
I mean, she's like 3' nothing, can't I just, I don't know, rob her!? I did notice however that she plays the broken flute for me from time-to-time, and almost always while I'm fighting, wonder if it does anything for me. Why else would someone let her follow them?
What does this tapestry thing do anyway? Will it bring me one step closer to world domination? Otherwise, it wasn't worth the hassle.

Yeah, one of the first things you should do after finding her broken flute is to buy her a fixed one. If you watch her ramblings she mentions the flute, and at some point a cape, but I only had to give her the flute and 3 flowers and she gave me the tapestry shred. Also, she does heal you in battle with a fixed flute, and yes it is for 20. It's nice with a warrior to have someone healing you all the time who doesn't take drops from you

I gave Gwen some flowers (in hindsight, I'm guessing 1 might have worked), ... and she said she had others just like it. She then blurbled something about wanting to give me an item that meant a lot to her mom or whatever ... and when I clicked on her a second time, I got the Tapestry Shred. If you try and click on her again after you give her the flower, you'll probably get the Shred too ...
