The Nerf Bat has Stuck Thank you A-Net

Well it looks like us "vocal minority" as some have called us have voiced our concerns loudly enough to stike fear into those socalled exploiting majority.

Spirits/Rangers nerfed YAY

Monk 105/55 builds nerfed YAY

Chain Lightning (spike teams) nerfed YAY

A-Net you are wonderful listeners to your loyal unexploiting fans. Now I look forward to just one more nerf and that is the runners to Droknars and then back to the newbie arenas. You've practically fixed all the major problems in one fell swoop and pretty darn fast too I might add. Thank you once again. I look forward to purchasing you expansion now.

I must say this is a great site too. It seems to have the largest population of all those I have visited so I'm pretty sure A-Net got a lot of material from this site so I will continue to post my "concerns" about the future of the game and the next needed nerfings here.

Now I can go find a group cause there will be an abundance of monks to play with now once they fix their builds back to what they should be, nice "healing monks" for my gaming pleasure. hehe

Not really, those who made Monks specifically to copy the 105 netbuild are probably going to switch to War/Mo to farm now.

i too am massively happy with the changes. listen not to the naysayers Anet. do not be down heartened. this is the best thing to happen to the game for a long time.
people will of course complain bitterly.

some wont because they already have the next build on the way.

Might as well just cut Natures Renewal, seeing as how it got nerfed so bad, its almost worthless to run.

your happy y? how did the changes affect you? Why could you not have taken advantage of distinct advantages of the profession? You sit there and really have no idea how this effects the game. lets all play the same class and do the same thing. Watch prices go up as good farming grinds to a halt. Did you ever want fissure armor? Good luck! You'll never see it!

All my pve guild is happy, a lot of the skill changes have benefitted us too. (namely my pyro and the guild's blood necro). Also interestingly made us rethink builds. I've gone to the extent of changing secondaries even!

Yes Spanky that is probably true and you know what? They won't be able to resist bragging about it and then guess what? We get to call for another nerfing.

2 Monks can easily do the uw by themselves. So the monk biuld isn't 100% nerfed

There's actually quite alot of good farming that the monk can do without prot bond.

The prot bond nerf didn't really do that much except for annoy a few people and make a spell utterly worthless as a running enchantment.

I deleted my UW soloer; I just didn't want to fool with it anymore

Oh well, I made 46k.

NR is completely worthless now. A few Rangers (myself included) came up with a dominating build that owned most people in PvP, enough cried and whined about it because they couldn't think outside their normal builds to counter it, and now Anet nerfs it. Complete tunnel vision.

55 monk still works extremely well ,it only ruined the cookie cutter net build.

The idea behind pvp was a group pvp idea, it wasn't meant for just one or two classes or skills to dominate the pvp world and that is what was happening, not to mention just annoying as hell with hundreds of spirits out there being spammed. Now a duplicate will just kill the first one, perfect, simply perfect. Now, rangers will fall back into what they should be; a support unit, not the king of the hill of the PVP world. More things will fall into place with more balancing nerfs in the future and more and more people will enter and enjoy PVP once again.

So the 55 monk build is still working you say? Ok A-Net will need to remove or take away the -50hps on that quest icon and that will take care of that. Give it +30hp's like most of the others. hehe

Hehehe if you really want to party with a monk who can't work around the "nerf" it's going to be your loss. Good luck finding one who doesn't still want to be a tank or smiter.

You will hear a lot of complaining about the adjustments made in this build, but to be honest I think it's for the best. ANet isn't perfect, but I'm sure they considered the good of the game as a whole rather than just listening to the pro-nerf whiners on this board. Look at their changes as objectively as you can and I think most of you will realize that they are in the interests of balance.

I also believe that if something is too powerful, it's best to swing the mighty nerf bat than to try to upgrade the rest of the skills to par. A change to one skill is easier to tweak than a change to many skills. Simple logic.

I like the fact I might never get Fissure armour. It means I won't look the same as some people, and it means there's something elite again. Since everyone has gone to great lengths to explain how Fissure is not any better statistically, I'm content with my newly acquired 15k. I'd still like Fissure one day, but for now who cares?

As for farming, I made about 8p last night doing something so basic it's laughable. I have a pre-ascended warrior yet I still managed to get some good runes and a few pieces of my armour upgraded.

The Drok's run has been made marginally more difficult with the addition of one more worm, but we did it last night so it's still do-able. Anyone else confirm a new worm?

Tunnel vision on your part too for not showing willingness to adapt to the changes. They're there so instead of whining, come up with another of your 'dominating' builds instead of complaining about it not working anymore.

Also remember that one build alone is not supposed to 'own most people in PvP'. Otherwise everyone would be running it...and that would be boring, yes?

Give Anet a chance as they have ensured not EVERY single character has to sacrifice vital parts of their build just so they could try to suceed under NR.

Lol Spanky you know they will, just look at the guy who posted above you and "bragged" about how he can still do the lornar's pass run. It's people like him we just love and enjoy their bragging. Keeps the ole nerf bat swinging. hehe
