But, you cannot pitch GW against WoW, they are totally different games. Having played WoW from beta to 2 level 60 characters, GW is a very refreshing change for me, and I will be staying for the long haul.

Frankly, I can see the limitations and redundancy with Guild Wars already and hopefully the devs with provides us with exciting new content on a regular basis to keep it interesting. WoW, EQ EQ2, Shadowbane, et all, have way more interesting player and community interation.

These threads are nothing but flame bait between WoW and GW players, they should not be allowed.

Personally, I think there is a direct relation between GW and WoW. I also think that many of the subscribers who have played WoW will probably also be the players for GW for very similar reasons. Both games are very similar. You create a character, meet an NPC, get a quest, complete the quest, get exp and money, and move on to the next quest - two games with the same basic concepts. In addition, I read an article where the development team for GW was actually made up of some former Blizzard employees, including developers. So, I expected to see a touch or taste of WoW in GW which I have. The richness of the environments, the idea that you have a bag or pouch to put your "loot" in, the guild concept, the character class concept, the whole basic idea of the game is essentially the same as WoW but hopefully it's better. Comparing GW and WoW is like comparing Star Wars with Lord of the Rings. We don't understand why people do it but they do. It's just interesting. I know many level 60 players in WoW who can't wait for GW because they want to see how the game compares and contrasts. So, I thought I would see if any of those players are here in GW.

Never liked it much soon as the PvP system came out.
Made grinding and solo play extreamly hard unless your a rogue or druid.
Most of the smaller guilds get eaten up by larger ones because they can't do a lot of the raids and big missions that the others can.
Not really fun if you have to give up your group of friends to move onto another group just to beable to do new things.

And most of my level 60 friends are bored out of their mind and want to cancel their accounts. And since I'm not a PvP player at all, those enhancements really are meaningless to me. That's why I could not wait for GW to come out. The graphics look awesome but more importantly I heard that it focuses more on the story line.

I think of Guildwars a lot like MTGO (Magic the Gathering Online). With the 80+ skills per class, multiclassing, equipment variables, etc, I really don't see this game ever getting redundant. If you're playing it like a traditional MMORPG then I can see why you may feel that way.

Keep in mind man, GW is at least made for PvP. WoW would like to think it is.
I'll give it two years before it becomes a decent full game. Its been out for how long now and still hardly any new cool content. Woopie, Elemental attacks.
Good but didn't get far new content game: Horizons.
Good and solid super large area and new ideas: Anarchy Online.
WoW has nothing on them.
