Ok, I was going through the desert mission Dunes of Dispair. I was grabbing the Slow Rod when it hit me. This would be handy in PVP. Then I came upon the following brilliant ideas I just thought up right now.
Hunting
You and your fellow team mates have to clear out the whole area as fast as possible of monsters. If your team dies, you lose, and if you slay all the monsters first you win. The team with the fastest time will have their names in stone until another team beats their time. A new layout of monster areas would be put out with monster changes every 2 months to prevent teams from keeping the high, and scores wouldn't be displayed until the next course so you're just doing your best and the best team is displayed for the next month for all to see who conquered it.
Search and Destroy
All maps are disabled. Auto targeting is also disabled. You need to find the other team mates and destroy them. Various splinter mines and slow rods with an addition of other items will be added to the course so players can set traps and what not. You're in a heavily wooded area like a forest/maze and your job is to find and kill all the team mates before they do. Upon entering all players are scattered around and have to find their team mates or die trying. Various items will also be scattered through the labrynth in chests to be used only during that specific PVP and any future consecutive plays. They will assisst like scrolls and be used up in one time.
Defend the Wall
You and your team mates are either the defenders or the invaders. Defenders will start out on top of a wall and will have to defend their wall from attacks. If the wall takes too much damage from players or catapults, then the defending team fails. If the invading team dies 3 times or time runs out, they will fail. The only way to mend the wall is to carry materials over to it and place them there.
Elitists Play
You join in with no one on your team and with 2 elite skills. Everytime you and your team kills a team you can capture 2 new skills. If there are none available you will be given 2 random ones. If your team loses a player then you will be put on a waiting list for everyone to see so that they can choose to join in with that amount of elite skills. You can choose to accept/decline any players and also walk around in the lobby area in a ghostly form to show you are still waiting. The normal thing like 3 people will show above your heads with the addition of an E with the number of elite skills you have so people can bring that many. If teams are oddly matched, then the lower team will be given the elite skills to make up for it.
Well maybe that last idea needs tweaking, but the idea of searching and going around in a huge area apeases to me. It could be tweaked aswell. Thoughts anyone?

Well, I haven't been in PVP, but even not being there it sounds like a good idea to me. Would be cool to have those are Arena set-ups as well in PVE as a sort of Practice for the real PVP gaming. Would be awesome to have the sort of "Defend the Wall" but with NPCs instead of Player vs Player. Like there will be a multiple waves of monsters.
Players will defend the wall. (For example) The 1st wave is Skales, 2nd wave is Elementals, 3rd wave Charrs, 4th Summits, something like that, as the waves build up in rank, the harder the monsters will get. Either in Power or in Numbers.
But that is just a side idea I guess lol...
Good luck with your idea, I am all for it for the players in PVP, sounds like fun. Good idea.
