Gr8est battle ive been on.

OMG... so im on my lunch brake and decide to get on GW for a game or 2 or PVP in the random team arena over @ lions arch, well i get put in a team of 4 Warriors including myself, i am a W/Mes then there is: 2 W/Monk (ofcorse the most popular combo in the game) and 1 W/R.

Well we got peaired up with another W team 2 W/Monk 1 W/N 1 W/E all 8 of us were non hammer it was 5 swords and 3 axes.

Well i must say that the W/Monks on both teams did an exelent job of using Whatever limited healing availability they had to keep the rest of us alive, butto make a long story short this was BY FAR the best battle ive ever been on.

Reasons for this were the folloing:

1) Like good W no one ran we all stayed in the same spot.

2) We all used our skills to the max and with cunning.

And finaly 3) the best reason y this was a gr8 battle we were going at it for over an hour.

PS. yep u know it i was late for work.

So let me get this straight. You spent an hour in just a random PvP match, were late for work, and think it was a "gr8" match?

YEH see unlike ur average pvp`er i dont play just to kill a hole team in 15 seconds and then start talking smak to them, i play for the thrill of victory knowing that i dint just get lucky and my opponent was an idiot that dint know how to use their skills.

did the others know how to speak proper english?

Yeah, I'll bet there was some real cunning and strategery going on in THAT match.

What the hell is wrong with you people, hes just wants to say how much fun he was having with this game, mabey not the way you guys consider fun, but still fun, and you just start flaming him!

Thx for the back up corax5, but its ok let them flame their probly the same sort of ppl that im talking about that play the game for 1 thing and 1 thing only to get items so they can then go to LA and start yelling WTS THIS, WTS THAT!!! Not thinking about the long run... See what u ppl fail to realize is that in 6 months to a year Anet will release some new game and EVRYONE that plays GW will go to that new game and then all your items and all your gold will be useless and youll feel like the bigest A-hole in the world for spending that much time on your PC playing for hours on end for somthing that gave u no REAL benefit.

Zun, it's a game. It isn't real. So being late for work and sacrificing something out of your real life isn't a good idea.

Well i thank u for the comment but im not really sacrificing anything since i own my company i only said i was late for work couse of the fact that i lead by example, and stress with my employees the importance of being on time, or do u really think anyone can play GW @ work unless they are the boss?

So now you're going to make judgements even though you know nothing about me? If, and when ANet releases a new game, I won't feel like an asshole because I had fun collecting items and gold, despite the fact that it will have no use in life.

Maybe the reason I don't see your game as great, is because of lack of details. You give vauge descriptions, such as "We all used our skills to the max and with cunning." which don't really tell me anything at all.

In addition, how could the battle have lasted for over an hour? If you were really using your skills so well, how could each team survive for so long without any real form of healing? A warrior's mana pool is small, to say the best, and with little regeneration, and high damage, I can't see how the battle lasted so long.

Mr Zun that sounds like such an awesome match! I hope to see events like that when the spectator mode is introduced. Thx for posting it gives me hope for something more than abrupt killfests

a match of 8 cookie cutter warrior builds doesn't sound like that much fun to me...it took an hour because none of you could do enough damage to kill the other...not because you guys were amazingly cunning.

Exacly a W energy is so low that u have to depend mostly on your weapon and a W Hp and armor (especialy with shiels) is so high that a weapons dmg isnt significant at all, thats how the battle lasted that long.

Damn! I wish I participated in that match! I missed out on a gr8 event, again.

But then again, I don't know how to use my skills to the max and with cunning!

For those wondering about the posts attacking spelling and grammar choices, that's why. This forum does have rules regarding using proper english, and unlike spelling 'like' as 'liek' (an accidental typo, I hope anyway), this person made a conscious choice to replace portions of words with symbols. In other words, they chose intentionally to break the rules of the forum, and as we all know, ignorance is not a defence for breaking the law.

Like it or hate it, this isn't the topic to debate it.

I'm glad you had fun in the arena. That's about the only thing I do in Guild Wars anymore as well.

Whether implied or explicit, people are telling him to get a life, but at the same time, are making such a big deal over this one particular battle. Who really cares!!! The OP was just sharing his exuberation with the rest of us, nothing more, nothing less. Trying to critique it like is was carried out to support some kind of Masters thesis is just silly and doesn't warrant that kind of response IMO.

You can scold him for using abbreviated language, but the OP has just as much right to scold us for flaming and getting personal. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone....."

Guildwars is a game, and a player had an exceptionally fun time playing the game and wanted to share it with the community. May the flamers get crappy drops and lose your arse in PvP.
