Wisdom From the Almighty Frog (Grog) [info about sorrows furnace]

If you don't know already (actualy i just found out about this today), "The Frog" or "Grog" is a frog in Lions Arch near teh "Crafters Corner" sign, who is i guess sometimes controlled by a dev. (developer) and shares inside info. speaks mideaval like and in gold txt.

I have a few screenshots of what he said, but all the good info was shared b4 i got there (lions arch dist 5). My guildies told me that he said that sorrows furnace was going to be released on sept. 21st or on the "fortnight" or however the stupid frog put it.

He also mentioned something important about rubbies and saphires but no one knows exactly what he ment. (my guess is that they r going to be used for sorrows furnace armour)

The frog also mention alot of new conent for guildes like guild storage.

all the info i got was usless stuff about how he likes gnomes and other weird stuff.

If anyone else has some direct quotes from Grog or some inside info feel free to post.


P.S. oh and i guess he's fond of gnomes, his cousin is famouse on muppet, and he fond of Gwen.

21st of September you say, thats sounds a bit late to be called a "summer update."

I call bullshit on this thread... without screenshots I don't believe this, plus there's no update information or anything on fan sites about this.

I'm not believing anything till I see some proof.

Well the frog has talked before (someone else provided some screenshots before), although I wasn't there myself to see it. But if the summer update isn't until the 21st of NEXT month... I may lay off Guild Wars for a while. Free game or not, Diablo II added new content in at the start of August and I would rather take advantage of what is available to me.

And if you do need rubies and sapphires for that armour... ugh, should stop trading 10k for every available ecto that gets offered up.

I was there. The clearly said we would get info "within a fortnight". Note that this only guarantees we're getting info at that time. We could end up with no update then...

Damn, 2 weeks is long.

He also asked what kind of weapons the players would like. Dunno if he was seriously taking notes though. It was hard to find serious suggestions since a lot of people asked for nukes and AKs.

Why is it that I never see any of this stuff? Irritating, that's what it is! I'm going to camp out by this frog now. I'll see it saying something even if it's the last thing I ever see...

That would definitely make winning PvP a lot easier, anyway. Nuke them from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Bah. Meteor storms don't completely obliterate anything within a 20km radius -- if they did, the caster would be pretty screwed. I want proper nukes! And spaceships! With railguns and tungsten slug launchers! YEAH! I don't want to wait for the Tyrians to grind their way towards the space age, I want them NOW!

Btw, the frog is stationary, its not like he's dancing around like a full sized human and talking.

The update will not be released that late.

2 shots refering to Gwen, 1 shot about dyes, 1 shot questioning the sexual preference of the frog, and 1 shot with absolutely nothing of interest.

i told u i got there after he had said all the good info., but this is proof the frog does exist. the screen shots were mearly to give you a sample of the amusing spam ppl said.

This is from the gwonline boards, there were 2 screens others but diead becouse of bandwidth.

Not much of a summer update if the release it in sept..... but well I guess if its a really cool update sure why not
