I am a proud farmer and resent your mischaracterization of our noble profession. I'm simply a blue-collar monk who provides for a guild-family of PvP and PvE adventurers. From the time I was a fledgeling lvl 14 monk I learned to farm and provide for myself. I am proud to say that, since then, I have extended my hospitality to support all brave adventurers of Tyria.
Mankind (and Womankind) was created to farm. It's true! People! Hear me out! We are NOT at peace with the land - Look around you! The countryside is crawling with sinister creatures and undead beings that would sooner devour you body and soul than look at you. If it weren't for the many brave trappers, hunters and farmers like us our species would be extinct!
I ask you, dear Ann of the Charcoal, should we have all remained in Old Ascalon in fear of intruding upon a land that's become the natural habitat for nasty gargoyles and hydras?

People, know this! Those
Smite-Huggers among us will never be satisfied. They weep over the loss of a single Ghostly Stave - and yet, when people die by the dozens in the cold trek to the Granite Citadel devoured by the predatory embrace of nature - do they shed
one tear?

I daresay,
what have the Ghostly Staves done for us? I challenge you to provide evidence that the staves are an endangered species.
Contrary to what the
Smite-Huggers say - farmers are the foremost authorities on conservationalism! For instance, consider the Ghostly Stave. What farmers don't use gets returned to the earth (i.e. salvage
). Yet you would rather have them collected and hoarded in captivity - in crowded storage bins like corn-fed veal or french bulldogs in a puppymill.
And why? Only for the sake of your personal aesthetic pleasure,
Ms. W/Mo? Shame. Shame. Shame.
Next time you enjoy your mutton and mead - thank the farmer!
Next time you purchase a leather square or pile of bones - thank the farmer!
