About the new races that r supposed to come out

yah im not exactly sure where this goes if this is the wrong place im sorry but anyways i believe that it was said that in future chapters of GW there would be other races to choose from i think the most likely ones would be dwarf and maybe centaur and perhaps even the forgotten (but that might get confusing in some missions etc.) but id like to see elves (not stubby little 3 footer elves either! i mean like the more normal sized ones maybe like 5ft tall as normal) i just made this to see what these races would bring
Just a new look?
New classes?
New armor/weapons
attrib bonuses in certain classes (for example dwarf ele has -1 in fire but +1 in water)
Or weapon bonuses (for example maybe the dmg changes from race to race like a 19-35 hammer to a human might be say 20-38 for a dwarf)
id just like to see what everyone wants/thinks what the new races will bring if its just a new look for the character ill be kinda mad in fact really mad.

all of what u posted are known methods of this sort of thing in other mmo's.
the only things that are concerning me atm with this are...
A) if another race is going to overpower my human class
B) having to do EVERYTHING again for a differnt race
C) 4 char's in one profile not beeing enough to support all of the races.

Don't bother. I'm almost certain that there will be no new races or class'. Theres a lot of other stuff ArenaNet needs to get out of the way to worry about class'.

i hope IF there arent which ima thinking there wont be, races over power humans... it would be like wtf? and IF there would be new races... certain ones such as centuar would be acceled inranger, but weak in others... etc. etc... u get the picture

It will be confusing. Will everyone's current character automatically be set to human? Will I be able to change it or would I have to make an entirely new character?

Because if I had to make a new character just to change my race, this game will soon be gathering dust.

Yeah, no thanks. Yes, they are going to realese both.. Most of the reason for the delay in bug fixes is obviously becuase they are working on this new expansion.

I read there will be new "classes", but, I haven't seen any official statement of new 'races'.

THis taken from one of the fansite Friday questions to the Devs and their reply.

"The sky is the limit on new chapters. We have a great and sustainable storyline, and certainly the team is prepared to create new art assets, new professions, new missions and quests, and new game world regions in which future chapters can take place."

They mention "new professions", but, nothing about new "races".

I don't think they need new classes though. If anything they need to make some hybrid class skills. Not sure how it would work, but eh you never know.

I think when they say new races they mean more enemy races. Races is so cliche and retarded. Seriously, if Centaur ups you ranging abilities would you be a human ranger or a centaur ranger? It's completely ridiculous. I don't have to worry about them implementing this into the game. I think they might be adding the new enemy races for sure, like lizard people or something that we can kill or something.

thats not exactly what i meant for example if you were a centau ranger you might have something such as -1 in wilderness survival but +1 in beast mastery for example but i would love more races to play as but i dont want THEM to overpower humans but i dont want HUMANS to overpower them so if you wanted to use beast mastery but didnt care much for wilderness survival you could choose to be a centaur instead to make it more balanced but its not just with that one class ill try to come up with something for each class maybe dwarven necros get +1 in death but -1 in curses
but id be fine with new races= race exclusive classes (but still keep some from normal for example there can be ranger centaurs and ranger humans but not spearman(possible centaur class) humans for example) i hope that cleared some stuff up

I think for looks would be a decent addition, as long as no race is better or different statwise from the others, that's just full of B.S.

Personally, I hope they never put new races into GW. Its a story about humans, so lets keep it as such. This isnt wow or ffxi, so lets enjoy all being humans!

Bogus. Anet didn't go the same route that the other games went. Yes, adding new races would add diversity, but would just be an unnecessarily long and cumbersome process that would ultimately end in them being overpowered or underpowered. Some character customization and such would be less of a headache and is undoubtibly on the way.

hey stop putting me down gosh but i guess it would be ok just for a new look i guess (but centaur dances would be weird unless theyre all just clacking and hopping etc.) but who says the story has to go one direction the whole way hmm? thats like saying you love games that have a completely linear storyline with no sidequests whatsoever kind of (and no offense if u do) man all my threads get put down like this

Ok its a story about humans but wouldnt it be fun if u could play a charr deserter or something like that. And ofcourse it cant overpower the human race but just 4 a littlebit of fun have a charr warrior running around u 2 tank hes big and strong so he could keep more chars on 1 spot.
But other races r not in the spirrit of GW(atleast it wouldnt add much 2 gameplay just a little more funny looking teams )
