ANet used to ban accounts for "use and abuse" the augury rock "exploit" to get xp (who cares about xp, I mean Player A can't get 10,000,000k xp, it won't changes anything for you) but totally allow the ecto rush exploit (buying more than 1,000 ectos for 300 gold each, reselling 10k each) that give an insane unfair advantage. Did I missed something ?

yeah, you missed a lot

Lots of people missed a lot. When I checked in last night at about 9pm (MST) 90% of the superior runes were completely out of stock as were ectos. This afternoon at about 4pm (MST) ALL superior runes were completely out of stock, except for vigor and absorbtion.

It is because people are hoarding hoping that will drive up the prices. It's a simple fix for ANet to "allow" the merchants to be resupplied every few hours or so. I mean, there's only so much space a player can fill. Give it some time to balance itself out. There's still a mad rush to buy up everything in sight. I will, for my part, ONLY buy and sell with merchants. If it means I have to wait a few days to get what I want, I will wait.

I'll admit... I was naughty and bought an extra superior protection rune, just in case prices go crazy again. But other than that I just bought what I needed for my characters. Still spent more than 10k though. My elementalist is a money pit. No money sink in this game? Try having 3 full sets of runed/modded armor and weapons.

No sin in taking advantage of a situation to help out your characters. And, truthfully, I can't even fault the hoarders for taking advantage of a "blue light special" at A-Mart. But I suspect that a lot of them will be left holding the proverbial bag sooner or later.

I agree though. At this point people are rabidly buying. It'll cool down really soon.
