Necro/Ranger Army Of One

Um... Hello I am a total n00blet. I have a question for those who know more about this game thatn me.. which would be almost everyone since I just started tonight.

I was reading about and having fun raising minions with my necro to fight when somethign dies.

THe other part was that when I couldnt get some lil' minions to help I always had my pet cat that would never run away.

Is it possible to make a build that keeps both abilities failry healthy strong?

It was just fun sitting back and firing off my wands while the rest of the gang did the dirty work. Alas I don't even know that I don't even know at this point..

PLease advise.

The extra pet really won't help much if you have tons of minions summoned. I would just go N/mo with 16 in death magic (12+1 headpiece +3 superior rune)
and the rest in healing prayers and soul reaping. You can use the monk spell Heal Area to keep your minions from dying when not in combat (their health degens constantly). This is for PvE of course.

Oh see, ok..I had read somewhere that the ranger has abilities too to help minions out and I think it was UBERNECRO who said that ranger was the best secondary for Minion Master.

But again I don't know anything just that it was very fun for me to play.

I wonder if I should re-roll like you said and take monk...?
