It's not that I advocate being mean to noobs - but have you ever heard the expression - "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day - teach him to fish and you feed him for life?" IMO - a person who needs 100gold can farm it out easily in the 30minutes he's been begging. A person who needs 5k for armor shouldn't be buying it in the first place (i.e. they can't afford it).
I'd rather show someone how to farm than just toss a chunk of change at them.

Before the Celestial Sigils were patched I saw someone running around LA begging for someone to give them a Celestial Sigil for nothing - only because he had a guild and "really, really needed it." BTW - he only had 2k on him. And he wasn't kidding.

Ok my newbie question...but what is the actual affect? What does being drunk do to you?

It makes the screen wavy by bending the map so it's all funny. It's a lot like one of those old windows screen savers that took your desktop and contorted it.
