Monk Energy Busted?

My lvl 20 monk with absolutely nothing on him has 28 energy poins! Is this low or is it the norm?

When I add armor (astetics tattoos) and a +8 icon it all adds up correctly but it still seems low at 40ish+

It dosen't seem like I've gained energy when ive leveled up but I havent really paid attention.

He should have 20 with NOTHING on him (No armour, weapon, offhand item), as you gain no energy from leveling up.

with full tattoos and +12 anhk u shud have 49 energy i think

I've got my Mo/El upto 50, with an option to 60 if i want to loose 1 regen.

Ahh...the never ending saga of monks and energy.

Are you using a shield? If you are that may be why. Also if you don't meet the rq. of a focus item, you will only get half energy from that focus.

Don't bother with full tattoos. You're way better off with at least chest and leg armor that gives +AL vs. physical or elemental. That extra few energy will mean nothing when you're down to single digit energy in the middle of a fight.

you are missing your off hand foci item which should give you +12

I have a fully ascetic tattoed monk ... heres the energy break up

+30 energy == base energy
+12 energy == foci item
+17 energy == tattoo armor (8 for chest, 2 legs, 6 hands, 1 feet)

49 energy == total energy

I think there is either 1 of two issues happening here ...

a) ... you dont have full ascetic armor ...
b) ... your not meeting your foci item required attribute points ...

ps ... option c) your bored and just f-ckin around with us ...

You can add a henge of denravi sword for a further +5 energy, taking you to 54.

I meet all my req. on my focii but I only have a +8 at the moment, and I have FULL ascetic armor, and I am bored but I'm not f-ckin you around. So I fully meet ALL THREE requirements. Do I win a prize?

I actually went out of town into the combat area and switched my armors on and off and it fixed the problem...seemed pretty odd but it's been right ever since. I end at 45 energy fully loaded.

Anyone know of a +12 energy Focii that give 20% chance of a +1 increase in Protection Prayers? Maybe a staff with this stat?
