Post-Searing Gwen Found

I don't know if this is old news or what, but my guild members and I were just venturing deep into the underworld doing the monuments quest from grenth and we got pretty deep into the underworld. while we were running through the quests and all, one of the party members, went one way and i went the other. we didnt clear up who to follow so the members followed me (cause i was party leader) and the single party member went off the other way. i noticed him on the mini map but i believed he was just getting someloot. like 5 min later, he said in the team speak. I found gwen! and we all said, she's dead got trampled during the charr invasion. and he said no really, i found her. and then he directed us to him, and there she was, gwen, in the underworld. how did she get to the underworld i do not know. i can only imagine, u must return her items to her for some great reward as it has been building since the ascalon city and i've been finding her flute/cloak in the most random areas. i actually just deleted them from my inventory as i got to higher levels. we didnt really stay there long and we continued on our quests. i'm trying to get her items and deliver it back to her.

I'll try to go there again with the same group and take screenshots.

Fascinating, if true... did she allegedly ask for her items back, or for that favorite thing that she gave you after giving her things?

hmmm...if i remember correctly, her flute was near the sardelac sanitarium and the cloak was between fisherman's haven and sanctum cay?

While I must admit to a fair degree of skepticism... I do hope this turns out to be true. I've been holding on to Gwen's old stuff forever, much to the amusement of my guildmates. Just for quick referrence in case this IS correct, I thought I would post where you can find Gwen's stuff.

-Her flute is in Old Ascalon, usually in the ruins of Ashford village somewhere.
-Her cape is in Stingray Strand, oddly enough, usually somewhere in the hills just west of Fisherman's Haven
-Then there's the Tapestry Shred. The OP didn't mention this, but I suppose it'd make sense if this was involved too. You get this in Pre-searing from Gwen herself when you give her the flute, cape, and flowers.

I really hope this turns out to be true... otherwise I'll feel pretty silly for posting all that.

I didn`t even read what you wrote, but when I saw the topic of this thread.... Thanks for a nice spoiler mate.

I gave gwen the flute(3 of them) the cape and about 35 flowers in pre-sear...I never got the tapestry shred....

You didn't give her the candy?

Yes please post screenshots. Especially the route to get there. I still have the stuff in my storage. I'm interested in seeing what she gives you.

This is the first post I've seen that someone has seen Gwen post-sear. NOw, I'm glad I didn't get rid of her stuff. I'd almost gotten rid of the tapestry thing several times now.

To the pre searing I should go!

A friend of mine told me the same thing. He found Gwen in the UW, he said. He couldnt give me proper directions and I never found her in 50 trips down there :/
He was blabbering something about "Gwens Fortress"...I dont remember.
I think the presence of Gwen's items scattered throughout post-sear Tyria makes sense if this is indeed true.
But damn, I need directions...exploring the whole of UW isnt pertinent...as I goto UW with PUGs...and not everyone will be interested in exploration :/

Oh and UW is the ONLY place where Gwens Presence makes sense...cuz she died...

EDIT: btw, does minimap (U button) work in UW or FoW?

Like others, I would love for this to be true. However until I see a screen shot I'm going to continue to believe that Gwen is living with General Leo and both can be ressed by fighting on the veldt until you kill 255 perl dragons and the last one might drop a "true phoenix down" for you.

Unless I'm forgetting something, I don't recall any direct proof that Gwen ever died. A broken flute and a tattered cape do not prove that she actually died. Granted it is the explanation that makes the most sense, but I don't think it is the ONLY possibility.

P.S. I forgot, that Akuma lives with Gwen and Leo, they can all be had if you survive for 10 mins vs M.Byson without taking any damage

I spent over 15 hours in pre searing looking for every possible hint to lead to the answer of the gwen mystery.

I collected everything, the three beautiful items, i have the flute tapestry and cape.

I knew this all would lead up to some big secret, I just hope im right. Keep working on directions

If we do receive directions, I would definitely like to be there (although I think I threw Gwen's stuff out already )
