Are there any shields that take more than 9 tactics?

What is the minimum tactics you need to use the best shields?

all the items are very different

i have seen a shield that had 8 armor and no requirements, another with 8 armor and needed 1 tactics and a 16 armor that needed 11 tactics with a 16 armor that needed 4 tactics.

you just have to get lucky and find a high armor with low requirement shield

You don't always need tactics. Some shields are based on strength in stead. They are rarer - but usually no less useful.

I found a shield 2 BWE ago that required 13 Tactics. I have no clue why someone would have tactics at 13, but the shield was a perfect fit for them.

My +16 Eternal sheild had a 12+ Strength requirement.

How much better was the 13 tactics shield than a 10 tactics one would be?

like i said, it all depends on what you are able to find, sometimes you find something that has higher requirements but has less armor

there is no set shield it is all random (unless you used the pvp level 20 character in the last beta)

Hmm, if that's true then it just makes finding a top end shield a little harder with lower tactics, but you still get an equally good shield. Good for me, bad for someone with 13 tactics heh. Guess I'll see how it actually turns out.

Are there shields with requirements greater than 9? Yes. Will a Tactics of 9 be high enough to use a max AL rare shield? Yes.

There's just some variation in the requirement that makes some items worse than others.

I was under the impression that a higher level in tactics will give you better defensive mods...true ?

Just lurking and reading and reading on the forums...

Other than improving skills linked with tactics and getting the max defense out of your shield, tactics has no other benefits. (Unless I'm dead wrong, then I will soon be corrected by Ensign).
