You got to look at the fact that pvp probably brings out the worst in people. I found that out a long time ago in varius games. Its hard to find people that don't get bent out of shape when the lose or who don't gloat when they win. I've pretty much stopped pvp in almost all RPG type games. The only pvp I did this BWE was the part where you went throught the academy, and the first time I went throught I thought I was playing vs npcs no one said anything. Come to think of it all three times I went through no one on the opposing team said anything.

Anyway I found the RP side very fun. I love the way the set this game up, when you are acutally out in the field playing no one can bother you. I just got to play this one BWE, but I'm hooked and can't wait for the release. Sorry to ramble, but thats my two cents. Later

That is one thing, newbies are contained in Pre-searing for a while, that should slow down the beggers for a bit. And those annoying people who just cant seem to win and complain about everything would quit playing because there is no higher level then 20, it gives them no chance to get a higher level then someone to kill them.

The only time it got foul for me was in a match of 5 American teams vs. 1 Euro team, and still it was a joking sort of jerkish.

Most everyone had a positive attidude in-game, maybe you just ran into all the jerks

Hehe! I've noticed this same effect several times. Frequently when you lose, someone quits (with or without a parting comment about how the rest of the team sucks). You can pretty much pick anyone at random at that point to replace that person and win, proving the only reason the team sucked was because that person was on it.

Now that is what you call pure ownage.lol made my day reading that.

I found a lot of the immiture people to be at Ascalon. So I just stayed away from there and it was pretty good. I have a bad feeling that Ascalon is going to always be filled with these immiture people

Heh, yeah, I was in a round that took like a half-hour thanks too Fertile Season. And just when it started someone on my team said "Euro B****es". Rrgg that made me mad, but he got plenty of "Shut Ups" from all the teams including ours.

Yeah these people piss me off, they deserve to die sometimes.

yes please give some of us new players that aren't pimple faced neophytes that are here to enrich the game and not debase it with abrasive behavior a chance to learn the ropes. I noted a lack of skill being a complaint from several posts. It will take some time for us to development the skills

I played...all PvE, except for the Academy PvP thing, which I wasnt warned about, so I got punished. Anyway, the community was great, except that its very difficult to find people who are wiling to go in a group with you. Sometimes its better thn others and you get more people than you asked for, but other times its disheartening to have to settle for the utterly retarded NPC's, especially when you are playing with a friend and you both keep dying.

This was my 1st BWE other than the WPE so i was 1 of the nesbs i had a lvl 13 mes/nec called rammvicious and i had another PvP mes/nec. I liked most people but there were a couple times when i tried to go to tombs and the arena where i had jerks who joined just to quit. Everything else was good. There was 1 team I might of pissed off after they got our guild lord down to less than 5% and they all died so we killed there lord. I rubbed it in a bit lol but i won't do that again i was just to used to having macros to make fun of the horde in l33t from WoW. My apologies

EDIT everyone said they loved pre searing ascalon but i hated it. I was glad to get out of it which i did at lvl 5. I like the missions much better than the quests.

I was only able to play for a few hours but did not want to go through the academy. THis was my first and only BWE but I wanted to save the newness of the rest of the game for the release. I did really enjoy pre-searing though. Sure some of the quests were "quaint" but isn't that kinda the point in pre-searing

I had no problems whatsoever, I had really nice guys on my teams constantly and they were up for exporing the are abit more and everyone was nice, i loved the community, alltho my stantards might be set quite low since i've played a game with the worst imaginable community, Conquer Online.

This was my first BWE and i was very happy with the game and *most* of the player base. All of the people i grouped with were great (i had a few different groups) and very likeable. I figure most of the jerks will go straight to PvP and most of the people doing PvE will be fairly cool. Or at least i hope so. And if they arent ill just grab my NPC friends who dont say anything and go do missions :P

I played very little PvP this weeend, mainly PvE, and everyone I met was awesome. In most online games, try to invite anyine to your party or say hello, and they either ignore you, or tell you to f@#k off. In GW, theyre very nice, most accept or say "Oh, sorry, but I'm waiting for guild/mates." This, most of all, impressed me.

And very few MMORPG's will you get that many people haveing a naked orgy around the campfire!

Yes a bad CS server can ruin that game for weeks before I get back on surprisingly UT2004 servers are usually pretty cool

I met this kid this BWE. He tried selling a belt. I said I'll buy it for 300. But he said he can't put it in trade screen, he had to go outside and drop it. I smelled something foul and scammy going on, but followed him outside to see how it would play out.

Once outside, he drop the belt first, and let me pick it up. I was quite surprised at the "niceness" of it as I gladly gave him 300 gold. This is something you never see in Diablo II, where I come from.
