depends on what you want to do later in the game...but if you arent far and havent experimented much you may want to do monk cuz it is the simplest for someone who is knew to the game. If you are not knew to the game i would suggest mez as a secondary for its energy removal skills for possible future pvping.

i have never used a necro except a few blood skills as a monk/nec so i cant really help you out that much w/ this one. But give your post a couple days for more people to look at it. There are no bad profession combos but you will just have to research the skills a bit and see what necro skills compliments your primary. If its pve then i do know that certain blood spells work really well for assisting monk in healing and such.

2ndary monk. Now I think I've said too much ;p
As for 2ndary nec... why would you want that? I think you should leave necroing to the necros ;p but there're some useful ones. Such as rend enchant. To make sure your lightning bolts do full damage.
But you can't have only 1 rend enchant. You need a few more... so yeah... better concentrate on dealing damage than shutting down healing.

Every other class can be usefull, all depend of what kind of build you're gonna use and what you will do in battles. For the mission i highly suggest you Monk because you usualy in the back and if every one die You can res them without a problem, and when you are in the desert you will be able to change your secondary profession for what you want.
