When in doubt, go Monk. At the very least, without spending any attibute points, you'll have reusable Resurrection.

depends on what you want to do later in the game...but if you arent far and havent experimented much you may want to do monk cuz it is the simplest for someone who is knew to the game. If you are not knew to the game i would suggest mez as a secondary for its energy removal skills for possible future pvping.

Sounds pretty good. I am not a noob have a lvl 20 R/E and two lvl 15s a M/me and a W/Mo and i wanted a caster. So i was thinking going E/N but E/M sounds pretty good too.

i have never used a necro except a few blood skills as a monk/nec so i cant really help you out that much w/ this one. But give your post a couple days for more people to look at it. There are no bad profession combos but you will just have to research the skills a bit and see what necro skills compliments your primary. If its pve then i do know that certain blood spells work really well for assisting monk in healing and such.

2ndary monk. Now I think I've said too much ;p

As for 2ndary nec... why would you want that? I think you should leave necroing to the necros ;p but there're some useful ones. Such as rend enchant. To make sure your lightning bolts do full damage.

But you can't have only 1 rend enchant. You need a few more... so yeah... better concentrate on dealing damage than shutting down healing.

Every other class can be usefull, all depend of what kind of build you're gonna use and what you will do in battles. For the mission i highly suggest you Monk because you usualy in the back and if every one die You can res them without a problem, and when you are in the desert you will be able to change your secondary profession for what you want.

This necro elite skill would be pretty helpful.

Offering of Blood
Description: Sacrifice 10% maximum health. You gain 8-18 energy. This is an elite skill.
Energy Cost: 5
Activation Time: 1/4th of a Second.
Recharge Time: 15 Seconds.
Linked Attribute: Blood Magic. Increases energy recovered.
Skill Type: Spell

aye that is a good elite for recovering energy as a mending monk but as an elem? 18 energy isnt really that much for an elem..but maybe you could get it to work.

Yea things like offering and blood rit, which sacrifice life to give you energy would definitely help. Although mesmer skills like channeling make more sense to me. Due to elementalists' weak armor, sacrificing life might not be too good an idea, especially if you want to PvP.

yeah...if your party is not doing so hot..maybe but one would hope that his/her party is able to do a descent job of staying alive..especially if monks actually run away when things start getting too steamy and defeat is imminent

When you said every class i disagree. i would not be a E/W i have known afew of them and they all regreted it. Sure warrior gives u some melee but ele should stay raged (that is what i think at least).

A monki would have better use for this. Yea as already said 18 energy isn't that much. Chk out the ele elites rather. They allow you to cast almost non stop.

i can think of a reason one would be ane E/W and it is for the stances..but since i am too lazy and do not wanna think right now that is all i can come up w/ atm. For sure you wouldnt do it for the use of melee. Think outside the box a little you are putting limitations on the classes

Let me say LOL right here, i have a El/W build, my whole team was saying omg you're gonna suck, at the begening ( today in fact ). At the end of the day they all regreted their words, pretty bad i must say, my build is insane.

Huh good point never though of that. Guess warrior is not so bad. But for the char play style i want i kinda need a pure caster.
