I'm a pure ranger (can be a marksman, interrupter, or trapper depending on the group) looking for some players to quest with in UW and/or FoW. My guild is fairly small and not high enough level to come with me, and gathering a PUG is very taxing on time and patience. Is anyone interested in forming a group with me that can gather together with some consistency/frequency for questing in these areas?

bumpity bump... anyone else? There's room for a bunch more. Come on, we don't bite... hard...
Seriously, questing is even better than running. Stuff still drops and you get exp for skill points. AND you have fun instead of mundanely trying to find a run group, run smites or whatever, and then repeat. Who wants in?

Sign me up. Very good E/Me Pryo Aoe Mage with great engery mangement
If "Kinra" responds it's not me (I share accounts). I badly want to explore Fow / Uw and drops being secondary.
(Edit) Opps wanted to clarify. I share my account but we don't share characters. I only play Eternal Tempest. If a character with the name "Kinra" responds it's her character.

Shoot, I'm game...
Tsen Oneblade is my W/Mo tanker
Or, I also have a Mo/Me healbot named Bardic Bainson.
Either one of 'em would be down for a good constructive run through either FoW or UW. But please, if we do UW, don't be stupid like damn near every single group I've ever had and take that quest that summons the Vengeful Aatxes that get us all killed. Or like the UW group I had where one of our monks used vengeance on one of our tanks, AFTER the battle was over. We're just about ready to move out and he suddenly goes "Wait, you cast WHAT on me?" and falls over dead again. Oh boy, was that group special...

Please, give me some credit. I'm not "special" like that monk who cast vengeance after a battle. I'm not someone who has been down to UW a whole lot, but I learned very quickly not to take the quest until after we've cleared some of the aataxes out. I posted here because I'M TIRED of the people who do those sorts of things. PUG's are ruined by people like that. But yea, I'll add you and Eternal to my whisper list.

That's cool Shwitz, I wasn't aiming my comments about stupid groups/players at anyone in particular around here, just illustrating the kind of silly crap I'd like to avoid in general.
edit: Wow, what a difference a good group makes. Got into a Fissure group formed by a guy who was very specifically recruiting experienced, serious players- wanted to get his fissure armor crafted, and he needed a skilled group to help get there. So after a few mistries and false starts and weeding out idiots (including a tattoo-wearing Leeroy Jenkins-style monk!)and afk freeloaders we got a solid group together and pretty much stomped the hell out of everything the Fissure threw at us. Smoked all the early quests and the stuff needed to get the armor, and most of us decided to stick around a bit longer. Little after dude got his armor we lost our necro(bedtime) and one of our 2 tanks(no explanation, just vanished), but with just six of us we got through the Army of Darkness quest, despite at one point being down to 3 guys alive and on the run. Survived that near disaster, res'd everyone, and finished the quest.
After that everyone was pretty well spent out and we all parted, but damn if it wasn't just the best group I've had for one of these outtings. No idiots, no lameness, just 8 solid players working together and kicking all asses. So see, it CAN happen, you CAN get a good group! You just have to work a little harder and be a little more patient.

I wish I had that kind of time to devote to finding a good PUG and then playing through the whole FoW, but I usually can't play for 6-8 hours at a time. The most I can play for consecutively is probably around 3-4 hours, as real life often intrudes on my GW time. And then there's also that little part about not being able to find a good group to get thru the quests. I've never been past the second quest in either UW or FoW. That's awesome that you got through all the quests and to the Fissure forge though. I've never seen the ranger fissure armor... and I probably will never wear it... but I wonder what it looks like...
Anyway, I'll be sure to message you when I'm on, free, and America has favor of the gods. Any of you can feel free to do the same to me if you're heading into either UW or FoW and we have favor, I don't mind getting beaten to the punch.
Hopefully see you IG
