Hello, I'm sure this dead horse has been beaten to oblivion, but I was just recently (along with my party) the victim of an intentional griefer during a run to the fissure of woe.

The story is this: Our fully competent party does very well through the beginning area of the fissure, killing the priest, lich dragons, and basically anything else. After killing the priest and finishing his mission, we decide to continue. 6 of the 7 players in the area there agreed to do the eternal forgemaster. One wanted to do wailing lord.

Now, majority rules right? Well, thanks to the brilliant system in GW, it doesn't. This one person decided that if s/he couldn't have its way, it would make hell for all of us. It started with a tolerable amount--the person did not join us to the forgemaster--a waste of time for him/her/it but at least we got all the drops without him/her/it.

Well, eventually this person saw that we were doing fine as a 6 person group, and decided that retribution for the lack of fulfillment of his her its juvenile stance was required. Dragging monsters to Rastigan on the other side of the map, this person made us lose about 1-2 hours of work.

Here are some photos:

A sincerely wish something can be done about this. I plan to E-Mail anet and hope to have action taken against this deliberate griefing technique and person.

And yes. I was mad.

Also, the other members of this party were superb. I would recommend them for any and all missions or quests!

I bet he is one of those types who get shat on in real life constantly and his only outlet is to cause problems online where he cannot be touched.

With enough community support against this type of play, I hope an alternative way to play in dungeons can be found--one that allows players to kick deadweights who do not intend to play as the game was meant to be played, or those who intend to do things such as this.

I'm a bit of a numbskull as to how to officially contact Anet about this, or if it's against the Terms of Service ( I tried reading it but saw nothing that I could construe as griefing). If someone could supply me with an official contact I would appreciate it very much.

He is online ATM.

I messaged him "You shouldn't grief in ToA. Those forums are a bitch ain't they?" He responded by saying that I was the orginal posters other character. My whole guild has blacklisted him along with all 15 people on my friends list and 9 people in ToA who I refered to this thread.

This is why you need Unyielding Aura. Just leave the griefers dead. And if they try to grief like he did agree with him and then abandon him to the mobs. Once he is dead lay down the law with some Unyielding Aura.

You're going to have to remove his name from those screenshots, most likely, if you want to keep them posted on the guru forums.

If it's against the rules, I would ask that the moderators only remove the picture links, and leave the rest up. I can PM the name, or send it in game if there's an issue with it being posted.

I'd like to keep the pics up, till that happens. I am not clear on the rules concerning this and if it is a problem I will take them down.

Sorry for any infringement.

(working on that email as well)

I was with somone similiar today, i was doing The Wilds mission, and he bitched at me for not being a healing monk (smite monk is my alt build) saying things like they are useless in any play of the game, then when i died, would not rez me because "you dont heal, you dont get rezed"

I hate ignorant people who act like ass clowns and think they are better then anyone else ><
