Keep in mind this POST will be W/Mo oriented.
First up, is your location. If you're going to start solo and farm, you SHOULD be looking to fight melee based monsters, or anything that doesn't have remove enchantments and the like, or anything that blinds you repeatedly. If you're in an area where there's one or two creatures in each mob that blind/strip enchantment, then you should bring condition removal and a useful low-energy recastable enchant such as Vigorous Spirit!
So, here are the W/Mo builds that I have "written" so far. To those that want their builds to remain a secret, give me a PM and I'll remove it. But if you want the build I posted YOU to remain a secret, I'm afraid that's a nay. I feel that everyone should be able to benefit from these builds. Besides, I don't spew out everything. n_n Everyone has their own secrets.
First is the original build that I posted:
Quote: 1. Hundred Blades
2. Sever Artery
3. Gash
4. Final Thrust
5. Healing Breeze
6. Vigorous Spirit
7. Mending
8. Balzathar's Spirit.
With this build I can tank around 5 level 20 – 30s with ease, and do a LOT of damage. Ease as in without losing 20% of my hp. If you don’t believe me, I’ll show you one day when I’m not too busy soloing. =P
Anyway, first cast Mending and Balthazar’s Spirit. Mending gives you 6hp/sec heal constantly. Then cast Vigorous Spirit. That means 10 hp per attack/spell cast. 30 seconds duration means you can constantly cast it. You don’t even have to hit. You just attack and that little 10 will pop into your red bar. With Hundred Blades, that means a small mob of 3 monsters will give you a 10 x 6 heal, 2x damage to each monster, 6 adrenaline in ONE attack for just a measly 5 energy. That means you have Sever Artery ready, and in 2 hits you’ll have Gash ready, and then a few more and it is Final Thrust. Remember, attack skills give you adrenaline gain too. =)
Bathazar’s Spirit means you gain at least 1 energy and a bit of adrenaline everytime you get hit. Since you’re soloing that means practically an unlimited stream of energy, and therefore that means Healing Breeze constantly, and therefore it means 10 arrows of health regen constantly, which means *gasps for air*, 20 hp regen per second. Pretty hard to die.
Of course, you’re not invincible. This IS Guild Wars afterall. Your main weakness is Break Enchantment spells. However, since a monster usually casts Break Enhancement only once, it will hit your Vigorous Spirit since it was your most current enhancement. Therefore, recast and happily slice your way through the crowd.
Sword attack speed = 1.33 seconds In 1.33 seconds, you have 9hp from mending, and another 10 hp from a normal sword attack. If you have Healing Breeze on, that means 30 hp from Healing Breeze + Mending, and another 10 hp from attack. That’s 40hp per every 1.33 seconds basically. Couple that if your 80 defence armor, you ARE going to be hard to kill.
Quote: UberRusty,
I'm having some difficulties in getting a good build for UW. The Aataxe were hitting me for the usual 190hp, and I can't get enough hp's back on to save my life.(I also know I'm only 1 of 7 in the group) and the outcome has to do with how well they play their cards as well.I'm not doing any soloing with this character, just mostly UW, which would translate to working anywhere else in the game.
I have studied the build you and UberRusty colaborated on.
My stats:
-10 Healing Prayers
-12 Strength
-12 Axe
-Mend--Vig.Spirit--Rebirth
Cyclone--Eviscerate--Beserker Stance
I noticed on your build, it included---Healing Breeze&Balzathar's Spirit, which are NOT Healing Prayers. Are you guys using the 2 above without skill points?
Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.
I'll be more than happy to let you know how your idea(s) workout,
Thanks Again, First up, Greyscale never came out with that build. I sent him a PM and he copied it. :P But I'm not a petty person I don't really care.
So without further ado, here's the skillset that I use for UW. (I haven't UW'd in ages, mostly PvP now)
1. Hundred Blades/Frenzy
2. Sever Artery
3. Gash
4. Final Thrust
5. Healing Breeze
6. Vigorous Spirit
7. Mending
8. Your choice/Healing Hands
This is the thing, you need to get a good Healer/Protection Monk to put up Protective Spirit or heal you when your health is low.
The skillset above is what I use at the moment. Healing Breeze IS Healing based, maybe your eyes confused itself. :P
_________
If you're looking for a more damaging Axe build, here's one I made.
1. Frenzy
2. Penetrating Blow
3. Cleave
4. Dismember
5. Executioner's Strike
6. For Great Justice!
7. Mending
8. Healing Breeze
The thing with these two builds is that if you're not getting hit, then Frenzy. If you ARE getting hit, stop Frenzy ASAP, since you take double damage and those UW creatures hit extremely hard. But for the sword build above (Which I use), I never had any problems with it.
Quote: Heh I would like to be a wa/mo farmer I would like to be effective at it so I am asking you for your advice on the subject.
My build when finished:
12 axe
8 strength
8 tactics
10 healing
cyclone axe, dismember, executioners, axe rake or axe twist, bonetti's defence, healing breeze, victory is mine, healing signet.
I am wondering where you would farm (melee targets)and if you would care to critique this build to well a finished product? Use this instead. =)
1. Cyclone Axe
2. Axe Skill (Penetrating Blow is good)
3. Axe Skill (Cleave is good)
4. Axe Skill (Executioner's Strike)
5. Healing Breeze
6. Vigorous Spirit
7. Mending
8. Balzathar's Spirit
10 Healing
10 Strength
10 Axe Mastery
Notes: Balzathar's Spirit, Mending, Vigorous Spirit always. As with the sword build, you have practically infinite energy. Keep Cyclone Axing and then use your aldrenile skills in between the Cyclone recharge. Vigorous Spirit works even better here. Touch of Healing Breeze here and there when you need it.
Have fun!

Hey, I was just a bit curious after reading you skills and stats allocations. Do you use the Ascalon set for the reduced damage or Gladiator's for the +energy? Also, are the 10's in each stat base or did you use runes and the helmet bonus? If not, what one's would you suggest? I am looking for a nice build that can go through the game easily and I really liked yours. Thank you for your time, I appreciate it. -Red1086 Hmmm I can't believe I've had so many PMs on this. I think I'm going to post up a thread so I don't have to repeat myself and EVERYONE benefits from each other's knowledge. But to be fair I shall answer your question! I use all Glads apart from the boots. Knights "Reduce damage" only applies once, (-2 dmg), so no point of getting a full Knight set. I hope this have cleared up some things for you. Knights = Ascalon in stats I think. These are just some of the many PMs I have recieved, but this basically IS what my answers have been. :P If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them and I'll try my best to answer them. If you have anything to contribute, critisize and whatnot, feel free to do that too. If you wish to flame me, make it entertaining. ![]() |
