End of Event - Oh my!

This is our final Beta Weekend Event. We want to thank everyone -- every single one of you -- for making the Beta Weekend Event concept so successful, and for coming out in such large numbers in support of Guild Wars, our first title from a new studio. What can I say? We luvs ya!

In celebration of the final BWE, we have a nifty end of event planned. (I'm struggling for the proper modifier that doesn't over-tout but signifies my enthusiasm -- spectacular? nice? breath-taking? pleasant? good? better-than average? I think I'll settle for nifty and be done.)

I just wanted to tell you guys about this in advance. We know it's late for many of you, in Europe, on the East Coast, in Australia, etc. But if you are able to make the event, do try to do so. You won't be disappointed.

Episode 2 - The Gweneth Strikes Back!

I believe the adjective we want here is 'transcendent.'
It's going to be three in the morning for me, but i'll stay up all the same. I'm curious as to what could possibly top the ending of the last BWE.

I was planning to come anyway, but now I'm really curious as to what it might be! If you're going around specifically promoting it, it must be one heck of an ending

Gaile: I know a some (or a lot) of players will record this, but could you have some(one) of the dev-team record it with a free cam, like in the gameplay video, and make a short video of it and post afterwards for us who can't attend for one reason or the other?

Heh, I stayed up til 2 am here to get in right when the beta started and check it out. Why wouldn't I stay up again to see the end of it?

Exam at 2:30PM.....hmmm, stay up till 3:00AM? Only time will tell...

Well, it ends today at 8pm for me, so I'll be up still.

All day, as it's 9am now

I'll defiently be there. Just finished sancrum clay, bought myself a dragon sword for my level 10 guy. Done everything I wanted to do.

Late? Haha, yeah, that's the right word to use for a GW addict!

It ends in 09:00 CET, right? Yup, that's "late" for european addicts having stayed up all night. Personally I think I'll have some sleep this time and call it early in the morning instead. I think I'll enjoy the end event more if I'm not having that zombie feeling like I had in a series of GvG games last night.

What time is this GMT if anyone knows.

Honestly, I think you should try to please the EST players and whatnot. Make the event last from 7PST to 9PST, then everyone can stand around and chit chat till the end.

PST is -8 from GMT. It ends at midnight in PST, so you'd want to schedule around that when to wake up before it's over, I suppose.

As for recording this.. perhaps someone on the forums might. To the best of my knowledge, AN's resident screenshot and movie guy is at home for the weekend, and doesn't have internet access at the moment (So the chances of seeing an 'official' presentation, I assume, would be very slim.)

Um, why? Arena Net is on the West Coast, so they should be pleasing themselves. Besides, if it ended early, we would not have gotten 72 hours. Only 69.

Gaile, I will have to congratulate you and the rest of the devs for a job well done on guild wars. I have not been sucked into a game like this for a long time. I wound up playing until 3am on Saturday morning ( which made my class at 9:20 am hell), most of Saturday night, and some today. If didn’t have to be at work I would be playing now. I am now happy I pre-ordered this and can’t wait for release day.
