Frost Gate Mission Help

I may be missing something, but for the last part of the Frost Gate primary mission you need to "Activate the three Frost Gate Lever Mechanisms before the Stone Summit overwhelms Rurik".

I can never seem to find the third lever mechanism. There's two pretty close together. Then, a bit farther up there's a bunch of enemies pretty close together. And I always seem to get overwhelmed by the enemies before I can find and activate the third lever mechanism. Is the 3rd lever mechanism near the first two and I'm just completely missing it? Or is it farther up the path a bit?

Also, is the last part of this mission "timed"? Can Rurik actually get overwhelmed by enemy forces, die and cause the mission to end?

The three levers are very close together. The third one is down below the other two. The mission is not timed. I have done it with Rurik being dead for 10 minutes.

When you do the second one you can turn around and go behind and below the first one. By the time you do the second one new enemies will be released from that side as well so moving back in front of the first one to take them out is your smartest option. After that swing around the first one and activate the third

ummm my memory may be foggy, but Rurik doesn't die until cutscene so how could you be doing mission with him dead?

If he dies before you open the gates he is somehow magically raised from the dead to be killed in the cut scene.

The first time I did this mission I was like crap Rurik died. The gates opened and it went to cut scene and I thought it was me fighting. So when the axe dropped I thought it was me being killed since Rurik had already died. I know better than that now.

If I hadn't already known about Rurik's fate, I'd be pissed at you guys right now.
