Mesmer problem after Droknar's Forge

I'm a Me/El and running into a huge problem at Droknar's.
Before Droknar's I got a pretty decent purple/gold drop rate and as of such, making some decent money. Now after Ascension my drops have dropped (no pun intended) down to almost nothing and I'm in some serious trouble with my bankaccount.
I'm a Me/El so I'm not dropping (again no pun intended) giants ten at a time and a group may even be harder to find.
So here's my question: How on earth am I going to make money for my new armor!?!?

i would say farm but your a mesmer

you go make a warrior/whatever, level him up a bit, farm with him then transfer your money via storage

The probably only way to farm as a mesmer is in its secondary classes. You might go monk or Elementalist just for the purpose of farming. As all skills a mesmer could use for farming are enchantments.
And as we all know... a mob WITHOUT Enchantment Removal is uber rare. And if it does not spam thousands of enchantment removals it is spamming interrupts. Yay for the nerfing.

I was just curious about the drops diminishing while the prices go up at high speed. I thought maybe I was unlucky.

Your party size went from 6 to 8. Hence, a drop in the drop rate as it's divided by 8 now...assuming you take a full party. Don't take the full party size, and you should be fine. Alesia, Lina, and Stefan should suit you for allot of areas without too much trouble if you're carefull and work that elementalists side you have, especially with fast cast and arcane echo + AOE.

About the Drop Situation... i got no clue how the system works at all. If it is random, the random mechanism REAAAAALLY hates me. As i got one gold item on my mesmer while completing the game storymode and a total of one purple item on my monk who is now at hells precipice.
I dunno what i am doing wrong but i never ever get decent drops at all. So i have to make up with excessive farming at other places... which now get nerfed more and more and more. -.-
