Why cant you stack runes

I think of it as you are "scaling" everyting up from where it is now and provide players who have the better income to be better off at 1st or allow people who buy gold a cheap way to jump in with less skill. In addition to increasing the price of runes, which goes against adding the rune traders (purpose to lower there cost).

After reading your other post on rusher's and seeing your continued stupidity in the face of the community, and after reading this I have decided that you are just trying to stir up trouble and don't believe what you are typing.

If for some reason though you actually believe what you type I will try to correct your bad logic.

First being available to buy has nothing to do with it? You don't like the idea of putting on 5 superiors but why not since those superior are AVAILABLE TO BUY... I can buy 2 swords that are each 1 handed. Why can't I equip them in each hand since they are available to buy.

This wouldn't but be a momentary bump in the price. If the price got anywhere close to valuable farmers would merely stop farming their spots for weapons and go mass farm riverside hill giants spiking the supply until the price dropped again.

I just want to be stronger and prove that i am better than some. With all us being equal i cant prove anything. I play this game 10+ hours a day shouldn't i have something show for it?

Tons of people play this game like mad but have nothing to show. Its not fair that some of you can play this game barely a hour a day and still have the same stuff as us.

Some people even stop playing this game for weeks come back and still the same strenght as us. Thats not fair at all.

So you can sit on the couch for 2 weeks and come back and be as powerful as i am that ihave been playing constantly.

If you want to prove you are better than other people, get D2, there you can easily be the best by grinding for 200 hours.

Guild Wars isn't the game to prove you are the best, it is a game about teams, hence the name GUILD Wars.

People who play this game like mad probably have FoW armor, and all the skills and stuff, while the people who play an hour a day just have droknar's. This is a game that is for casual gamers, not people who like to grind for hours on end.

seriously, the difference between this game and D2 is the balance. no characters are super uber like in D2. teamwork is a huge part of this game, as arnansnow said.

I wouldn't normally use this acronym, but... omfg, that was priceless! Just... wow. Apart from being the epitome of the "prove that i am better"-with-gear gamer, you so do not understand what Guild Wars is all about.

Powder - the thing you don't seem to realize is that one of the primary goals of this game was to NOT have it be another "farm forever to be the best" game. It's supposed to be about how you construct your character, how you layer your skills, and how you play what you have.

That's what's called "skill." What you want it to be able to be a doomsday device that can walk over everything. What's the fun in that?

I know plenty of people who play this game that are over 30, you don't have to be a teen to play games....

Arena.net's main concern seems to be making a fair game for PvP. Meaning that skill/teamwork/strategy will prevail rather than play time. This will never change, and I suggest a regular MMORPG(WoW, EQ2) for you.

seriously man, get a life. if you play 10 hours a day, say you sleep for a minimum of 8 hours, that leaves you with 6 hours a day to eat, drink and live your life. get your priorities straight, guild wars is not your life. jeez, go get some friends or something.

Skill doesn't come from items. It doesn't come from Runes. Having a rune that gives you an advantage will not show that you are better. It will, however, show that you're willing to sit on your arse for hours on end to either get the money for the runes in question, or to get the runes themselves. No skill involved.

Sure they do skippy. They have the knowledge that they are better than the rest of the players out there. I read it all the time when I'm in game "listn 2 me i no this mish!!!1 omg!". They also have hours that they will never get back for playing a game. Hours that they spent willingly, granted. You want something to show for your hard earned gold/items? Go join a guild and get in the HoH tournament. Keep favor for the rest of us trying to get into FoW and UW. That would be something worthwhile.

Wrong again. It's actually painfully fair, and balanced. Why should a few players, who play this game near incessantly, have more advantage than those of us who can't devote 10-18 hours a day? There is no logic behind your argument.

The "because I spend more time than you" argument makes you sound like you're a whiny 12 year old trying to get to level 100 before everyone else.

That, my whiny little friend, is what makes this game great.

Some will use strategy, others will grind for items. I'll give you 2 guesses as to who will win 90% of the time.

Very simple. It is because the game developers have decided so. You can`t get all that you want, just as in real life. And there is a good reason why things are the way they are: game balance, which is utterly important in a game like this.

Power gaming would really ruin Guild Wars.

19 years old, 10 hours a day gaming + 6 to 8 hours sleeping leaves 6 to 8 hours for meals and a job. Just because you can play 10 hours a day doesn't make you a good player. Items won't make you a better player. This game is not about being UBER, it's about strategy. I used to play M:tG, around 96-97 I built a griffin deck because the 3 expansions in that period had lots of them, not the most powerful creatures in the game but I consistently beat the people I played, not 100% of the time, but 70-80% because I had a good strategy. The entire deck had only two rares in it, 60 cards 2 rares, 3.33% rares, the rest were common and uncommon.

Gladly. According to your logic, letting every attack be an instant kill would be "balance" because everyone would be capable of insta-killing everyone. So why not just give everyone weapons that do 1000's of damage from unlimited range? Because it is imbalanced.

No, I can sit in my daughter's nursery and reflect on the joy she has brought my family. Guild Wars is a game designed to be enjoyed by all (including those of us who have lives outside of your virtual reality). If you don't like it - don't play the game. There's no reason the rest of us need to have a less pleasurable experience while playing GW just because you have nothing better to do with your time.
